Brit Hume explored it, as did Nightline. It's out of the bottle - wait and see.
Same thing with AP, till about half hour ago. They had to be dragged kicking and screaming to finally admit the authenticity of the documents in question were in dispute.
Old Media-Old School. Five years ago they would have gotten away with it.

Aaron Brown said it is probably fake. But he ran an old segment that repeated what CBS claimed. What a phony. If he knows that the documents are fake, he shouldn't be running false charges.
And I noticed in the BS AP story how they repeatedly mention that Bush piloted 2 flights where he made two approaches before landing, as though to question his flying skills (and, by extension, I'm sure, his worthiness to be CIC). I wonder how many times AP mentioned that Kerry had to RETURN in his Swift Boat to pick-up a fellow soldier from the water.

2004 will be known as the year the MSM totally lost its credibility and New Media has taken over!

The hypocrites hope if they just sit tight and say nothing,it will go away,and in the meantime they'll keep playing the story in its original context as if it hasn't been discredited. I can't wait for CNN's day to arrive. I wonder who their Dan Rather will be?
What can we expect from the JFK (Journalists For Kerry) media?
I expect this has partly to do with Paula Zahn's outrageous reporting today. HOURS after this was the news all over the blogosphere, and CONCURRENTLY with Fox News reporting on the appearance of fraud, Paula Zahn was practically gleefully heckling one of her guests with questions like, "But you SURELY don't mean to say that these memos don't prove beyond a doubt that Bush disobeyed orders, do you?!?!?"
It was really horrific. I have never seen Zahn be that outrageous before. She was grinning her face off as she kept pummeling guests (and Bush) with these already-discredited memos.

I saw that and,not that it'll help,I fired off an email to her show about it. Even if they won't show some integrity, I want them to at least know that we know they're liars.
I wonder if that airheaded gnome will still be giggling after tomorrow when her kandidate kerry(or at least his campaign) is shown by most of the rest of the media to have been behind falsifying federal documents and trying to win an election through false smears against the President.
Can you image how different the landscape will be in 2008?
Democrats will have to win elections without the MSM from now on.
