Credit where it is due,Howlin's thread,Buckheads post.
Howlin, every single one of these memos to file is in a proportionally spaced font, probably Palatino or Times New Roman.
In 1972 people used typewriters for this sort of thing, and typewriters used monospaced fonts.
The use of proportionally spaced fonts did not come into common use for office memos until the introduction of laser printers, word processing software, and personal computers. They were not widespread until the mid to late 90's. Before then, you needed typesetting equipment, and that wasn't used for personal memos to file. Even the Wang systems that were dominant in the mid 80's used monospaced fonts.
I am saying these documents are forgeries, run through a copier for 15 generations to make them look old.
This should be pursued aggressively.

I'm a little late on this because of the football game last night. But, I have to go on record giving props to Howlin and Buckhead for literally bringing down cBS news and 60 minutes. That is historic and not to mention hilarious.. LOL
Your names should adorn FR's forum for your great work. In addition, you guys deserve (unlike that fraud F'n) a Medal of Honor for your patriotic service in exposing the media.
All Hail Howlin & Buckhead and anyone else responsible for this truly noble deed.
Behold the power of FR
[RAthERGATE]

Wunnerful wunnerful wunnerful!
We could have a full on revolution in this country if the MSM just searches the FR archives to find all of the other untruths we have uncovered over the years, which the MSM has ignored.
3 cheers for the good guys winning this one!!!
Hip, hip...
Why, oh why couldn't it have been post 57 instead of post 47... That would be hilarious.
Buckhead: the freeper who pointed out Rather has no clothes.

Thank you Howlin and Buckhead!
Thanks for creating and maintaining FR.
And boyoboy, Imus was just beating the CRAP out of Cap'n Dan the Newsman this morning. What a lovely way to start a beautiful, sunny weekend in the northeast.
And we were there.......something to tell our grandchildren.
Buckhead deserves a digital medal for exemplary service to pin on his digital brownshirt.
This is exactly the type of thing that Al Gore was ranting about - I love it.
I say congratulations to everyone involved in deciphering this whole mess. Let us hope it turns out the way we think it will...However, word of warning, the same people that put out this memo will be more carefull next time. The dems also have some smart strategists, and 24 hours is a long and sufficient time to turn this whole episode around to their advantage. We need to be prepared for that! You all surely can't expect for them to just come out and say,"oops, we're sorry!!!We got caught! We 'fess up!!" Millions of dollars, political careers, jobs, prestige, etc. are all involved here, and they will do their best to keep it!!!
I can't claim to have spotted the errors, but I read and prayed for the posters who were. They deserve a lot of credit. And you are right we must remain vigilant. Some days FReepers are just awesome.
"Oh Danny Boy, the truth, the truth is ca-ah-ming
from post to post
and into our hard drives
the summer's gone
yet all the lies are blooming
tis you, tis you, must go
and we wave, bye!!!
and we wave our bub-byes!"
at the end?
LOL....I love the superscript....
