If Rove has a role in this, it's in the decision to fax the documents they got from CBS without question, knowing that their unauthentic nature would be detected.
He's good, but I don't think he's THAT good.
I don't suppose Pres. Bush can remember if he missed a physical 30+ years ago. That being said, I am sure Rove or someone suspected these documents were forged...and just let the Dems hang themselves. The White House had these documents before the interview...if a fuss had been made then, Rather probably wouldn't have used them. I think Barnes is the key...I wouldn't be surprised if he wrote them.
