Statement by Ralph Reed on Al Gore's Criticism of the President's Faith
George W. Bush ^

ATLANTA, GA Ralph Reed today issued the following statement on Al Gore's remark in the September 13 issue of the New Yorker magazine that the President's faith is "the American version of the same fundamentalist impulse that we see in Saudi Arabia."
"Former Vice President Al Gore's comment comparing the President's devout Christian faith to that of extremists and terrorists seeking our destruction was reckless and irresponsible. Attacks on a candidates faith have no place in the public discourse. I call on Senator Kerry to repudiate and renounce this statement by one of his top surrogates as unbecoming of his campaign. If Senator Kerry is silent, we can only conclude that Gores comments represent his views."

This remark by Gore was reprehensible. The battle for the very soul of this country is raging. This is not a choice of political party, it is a choice between good and evil.

When he attacked G.W.'s faith in God, he attacked my own. He attacked everyone that has committed their lives to Christ. Frankly, I wouldn't ever be able to mimic that type of arrogance. My fear of God's reprisal grounds me. Evidently Al Gore doesn't hold that same fear of God's power.

I guess you could say the same thing about the silence coming from McCain's corner on the recent attacks on Bush's ANG service. He was quick enough to condemn the Swifties. Where is he now?

Would this be the same Alwhore, the slumlord? Would this be the same Alwhore, who couldn't jump up Bubba's butt quickly enough, for carrying on with Monica?
Keep blathering, Al. Everyone knows you belong in a loonybin. Luckily, you are already there: the DNC.

This is a battle that is being waged in the spiritual realm. That is why it is getting so nasty. This election will be the defining moment for America where we decide once and for all whether we will allow God or Satan to stay in America and rule. What we need more than at any time in our history is for devout Christians to pray for this nation as never before. If God removes His hand of protection from this nation, it will make Hurricanes Charlie, Frances, and Ivan combined look like a day in the park because if God leaves, you automatically invite Satan, and he will be given freedom to do what he wishes in America UNTIL America's people repent. Israel had turned their backs on God so many times, even their prayers, and cries did not turn away God's wrath. I'm wondering whether this will happen to America if we elect an obvious two-faced, self seeking liar, and traitor to be president of the United States of America or retain President Bush. Pray hard fellow Christians, Pray Hard!!

This remark by Gore was reprehensibleBut does it rise to the level of impeachment?

Gore is mentally ill. Having been so close to the brass ring and to have it snatched away at the last minute has completely unhinged his judgment. Four years of brooding in the political wilderness, shunned by Party insiders who blame him for the 2000 loss hasn't helped much either.

Every time Al Gore comes out of obscurity, he just confirms to the entire nation how lucky we are that he didn't succeed in stealing the Presidency.

Hey Everyone-new freeper here
I need to find that picture of Hitler screaming and put it next to Al's open-mouthed spit-dripping screedfest. They look remarkably similar. As for Kerry, he won't ever denounce anything anti-bush. On that topic he is consistent, for now anyway. Besides, with Carville in the camp, Al looks a bit tame these days.
To: RWR8189
Wow, Kerry thought last week was bad. His handlers probably took his shoelaces away this afternoon
