UPDATE 12: In the August 18, 1973 memo "discovered" by 60 Minutes, Jerry Killian purportedly writes:
Staudt has obviously pressured Hodges more about Bush. I'm having trouble running interference and doing my job. But wait! Reader Amar Sarwal points out that General Staudt, who thought very highly of Lt. Bush, retired in 1972.
The more I look at these "memos," the more obvious it appears that they are inept forgeries.

See 51.
And smile. It is a beautiful day.
Staudt is still alive, I think we need a new 527 ad folks.
I think something like this would work:
"The Commander in Chief during wartime is not immune from criticsm, but planting forged documents in the file of a dead man, my friend Jerry Killian, and using it as a pretext to undercut the Commander in Chief in a time of war is too much for this Old Soldier to sit by and watch.... "
That's a pretty good start....
I don't even have an inhaler. But sometimes things get so funny, I find myself reaching for one.
Have you ever gotten a sore throat from laughing?
It's been that kind of day. ;O)
There is a certain ecstasy that goes with this ever evolving story.
Hillary is the hatchet job maker....what a better way to get rid of Kerry than this!!!
I don't think so and they're still claiming it's all "REAL".LOL
The liberal newsroom at CBS is reeling.
The one thing I know about con artists is that they depend on a victim's greed in order for their con to work. In this case, a liberal newsroom's "greed" for something to smear Bush with has apparently gotten it into deep trouble.
"Kerry is being submarined in order to set up Hitlery for 2008."
I think so too.
I'm a little moist, frankly.
I'm not going to speculate, wouldn't be prudent...not at all. ROTFLMSO
I think they're in non-denial denial mode :)
LOL, you and me both
So? Killian could have just forgot!
</DUmmy_mode>
ROTFLMAO!
From the looks of the gloating piece Sid Blumenthal wrote for the Guardian of London (link on Drudge), my money's on Sid.
