UPDATE 12: In the August 18, 1973 memo "discovered" by 60 Minutes, Jerry Killian purportedly writes:
Staudt has obviously pressured Hodges more about Bush. I'm having trouble running interference and doing my job. But wait! Reader Amar Sarwal points out that General Staudt, who thought very highly of Lt. Bush, retired in 1972.
The more I look at these "memos," the more obvious it appears that they are inept forgeries.

Let me save everyone the trouble of an inquiry: I created this using a True Type font. LOL!

Every lie they tell seems to add to the unraveling I am sure that Terry Mcawful didn't think it was gonna be like this
You gotta love the internet. It sure makes it hard to hide your lies.

CBS is out of the news business and Dan Rather is just doing a reality try to fool the public show.

When the curtain closes, and the votes are cast, even Bill and Hillary Clinton will vote for W, for they really DO care about Chelsea's safety.
Besides, how else can HRC be a candidate in 2008?
Looks more and more likely that poor John Edwards hitched his wagon to a falling star. Now, who might have put him up to that?

The one thing I know about con artists is that they depend on a victim's greed in order for their con to work.
Pssst! Gimme ten thousand dollars, and I'll go walk around the corner and get you some proof, man.

These last 24 hours should be considered phase 1. This is just the beginning. Next, an audit trail needs to be generated of who knew about the memos and when. Hopefully leading to who forged them. There must be a John Dean somewhere in the CBS hellhole willing to pop the truth for their own 15 minutes of fame.
Generations from now, when people hear the phrase "dirty tricks", they will think of Kerry and his worldly wife Teraza rather (pun certainly intended) than RMN.

"Has old media always been this sloppy?"
Yes, since time began. My first experience with the media slop was the 68 Tet offensive. Everybody there knew we kicked butt that was not what was reported. Until the internet you just endured.
