I wonder too! I also wonder if there has ever been a quake so near a hurricane ever in history?
I can't believe we're looking at the 3rd cane here so close together. God have mercy on Florida.

Do you know that there are no coincidences ? A significant earthquake coupled w/regional hurricanes tied to the Cayman Islands might qualify under that heading (perhaps a "shot over the bow"?) Isn't Cayman Islands the financial haven for "more or less shady businessmen" around the world?
Yup. Here it is, from femalefirst.co.uk: "The Cayman Islands rank as the world's fifth largest offshore financial centre. Bank secrecy laws make it illegal to reveal the identities of account owners - unless, of course, shady dealings are suspected." [Yeah, right]
Now, if the Swiss are hit w/a 6.0 plus quake sometime soon, let's see all of the random coinncidence promoters come out of the closet.

I wonder if folks in the Gulf of Mexico and Carribean Sea coastlines need to look out for Tsunamis?

Earthquakes in the oceans are often accompanied by tidal waves. Yeah - last week Japan had that big earthquake, and there was talk of a tidal wave (tsunami) headed for shore -- but apparently nothing happened. Anyone heard any followup on that?
