I heard on FNC that Senator Dole is going to be with these POW's at the documentary premier today. But I don't know where.
How could someone vote for Kerry?
I just don't get it.

I'm a High School student and have had many debates with classmates about John Kerry's military experiences. I was wondering if you could tell me a way to get them to understand that Kerry was not a brave and valiant soldier, without giving a long winded speech which they will blow off without a second thought.

I don't think this whole thing is as much about Kerry's bravery or valor...that never would have been questioned, if Kerry himself hadn't CONSTANTLY touted his medals/ribbons/etc. What this is about is selling out and turning on his fellow soldiers.
Kids are probably the world's worst (or best) at not "squealing" on their friends...not tattle taling, even if the so-called friends aren't really friends. Kerry not only "squealed" on fellow soldiers about things that did not happen, but he caused many POW's to suffer unduly because his words were used on them. Young people understand loyalty...Kerry was disloyal.
Lemme try.
1. Brave and valiant soldiers do not brag about their service.
2. Brave and valiant soldiers do not bring movie cameras with them into combat and then recreate battle scenes to put on film.
3. Brave and valiant soldiers do not request medals for minor injuries, in fact they do not even report them.
4. Brave and valiant soldiers do not make things up out of whole cloth that they did not do (Christmas in Cambodia) and then spend years embellishing the lies.
5. Brave and valiant soldiers do not attack and smear people with whom they served just because their recollections are not the same.
If you haven't read "Unfit for Command" yet, that would be a good starting point. The accounts in it are short and to the point. Taken together, they are extremely damaging to him.
You might suggest that your friends talk to an uncle, father, or other older relative as to whether they were war criminals as Kerry claimed they were.
Whop em with an club after...so it sinks in. They dont want to hear the truth chum. And tell them the truth is that "John Kerry is a traitor" plain and simple. Then when they point to the usual "Bush avoided going", then say maybe so, but at least he didnt come back and commit TREASON like Kerry did.
Dole has just been awesome of late. He's taken the point for the SBVFT, and his comments have completely immunized W from any criticism about these issues being raised. BTW..Dole is older than Zell, so expect Carville to say that the Viagra has made Dole "loopy"
