I haven't read through the whole thread yet, so maybe someone else has brought this up...

I remember as a kid the common practice of hyphenating a word when you came to the end of a line, and continuing the word on the following line, rather than leaving a big space at the end of the line, and starting the new word in full on the next line. I noticed the documents listed as other examples for comparison suggests Killian routinely hyphenated words. Is that practice anywhere to be found in the disputed documents, and if so, is it demonstrably inconsistent with Killian's normal practice?

I hear you.

Half the world hears you.

And soon, the second half will hear the first half!

Thanks for the Ping MistyCA

Some of my thoughts:

The typed out "August" alerted me to a military truism.

Whenever possible and sometimes when not very possible always, always take a shortcut.

Military orders are generally full of shortcuts. JAN, FEB, MAR, APR, MAY, JUN, JUL, AUG, SEP, OCT, NOV, DEC were all the months.

"Off WP" instead of "officer will proceed" never "you will go" or "you will proceed".

"AR NLT" instead of "arrive not later than" or "arrive no later than" the memo actually has "not later than" and then (NLT) in parentheses. WHY?

Lastly - Rank was always ASAP(As Short As Possible) 1st Lieut, nope, it was always 1LT.

Oh, and lest we forget. National Guard units were always the ugly stepchildren of the military and getting hand-me-downs, not top of the line typewriters, especially since no one above the rank of buck Sargent ever typed anything longer than a brief "Reply by Endorsement."

These documents look to be the work of someone who had a couple of years or ROTC and quit before advanced ROTC because he realized he had to be in more than a couple of years to make 5 stars.

At best they are the work of a fresh recruit to the TANG and LTC Killian was not a man who knew how to constructively chew ass.

,,, well, here's the half that matters checking in.

I'm in a country where it's easier to enter Parliament than get a licence to drive a cab. This smoke and mirrors crisis is borrowing so heavily on sentiment and days gone by that it's distracting people from the fact that Kerry isn't up to the job he's pitching for. Until there's a comprehensive screening process established beyond criminal records checks for candidates from any party, the democratic process is going to be plastered with low grade street theatre just like this in run ups to elections. Voting on the basis of track records and issues at hand is the crux of keeping a nation together and on a forward path. It looks like the Florida finale last time has turned into this fiasco this time. Get a grip on the real issues, who's got the credibilty now and tick the right box on the day. If Americans are smart, December will have John Kerry asking "ya want sauce with those fries?"

Thanks for the ping's ..... it would appear to be a forged document, IMHO.

I wonder if this raises to the point of libel?

I have bombarded FOX NEWS with emails - Hannity, OReilly and their general email address as their website FOXnews.com. we should all do the same! The big news is that big news is ignoring this. It may not be resolved yet BUT it is NEWS!

Republican running for office-have no skeletons in your closet-no problem-the Democrats and their Media will create one for you.

Democrat caught in a lie-no problem-just tell a bigger lie.
