I would never have imagined when I was growing up that I would ever see the day when the Russians would vow to follow a military policy of preemtion and that I would agree with it.

When it comes to this sort of stuff, you don't want to mess with the (godless) Russians.
I recall a few years ago, when a bunch of kidnappings were happening in Lebanon, a Russian diplomat was taken hostage. There was a prominent cleric associated with the terrorist kidnappers. The Russian grabbed the cleric's bother and soon delivered to the cleric his brother genitals in a box, with the promise to continue delivering "parts". Lo and behold, the Russian diplomat was released immediately.
Maybe this story was more legend than fact, I don't know, but it sounds like a pretty effective way to deal with the Muslim riff-raff.

Even if the thugs are in a country that's been paying you bribes with their kid's lunch money? Hope so!

Islam terrorists have a nasty habit of losing friends and gaining enemies don't they?
I wonder why?

Well, as long as they do it with "compassion."

As I have written previously on this issue, if Russia is serious about Islamo-Fascist terrorism, it is time for them to step up to the plate in regards to their assistance in Iran and to give the US some help with some troops in Iraq. That would be a nice start. In fact, maybe it would be a good idea for Russia, rather than Israel, to bomb that Nuclear Weapon "reactor" in Iran.
In return, the US could back them up at every turn (in, for instance, the UN) in their desire to root out terrorism in their own midst (Chechnya). Let's partner up, boys!!!!

The only way to control this is if the gov't runs the business. SA set up a bunch of there operations all over the world and stuck their bomb throwers in charge. If one of these prayer leaders gets out of line with us he should be canceled. I can see the FSB doing this. We should not help them catch the FSB.

Politically Correct is not in the Russian dictionary. Afganistan was Russia's Viet Nam, something to think about.

Welcome to the fight Russia. It's about time you realized what animals these islamofacist child-killers can be.

Yes. For all the bellowing about how Russia will kick some ass in their sudden conversion to the War on Terror, I seem to recall they had a certain amount of trouble there.
Nation-building aside, we seem to have done a bit--oh, hell, about ten thousand times better.

This was the weapon that did the USSR in in Afganistan.

Cool in theory, but their airplanes don't stay in the sky, and their submarines don't always surface. They have had a hard time killing terrorists within their own borders, they are going to have a harder time killing them outside of their borders. Just look at how they turned tail and ran in Afghanistan.
Anyway, I hope they do manage to get a few... or more if possible. Of course, I'm rooting for Russia.

Eventually, the terrorists will figure out that the only country they can attack without fear of reprisals will be France. At the point we can consider the war on terrorism over.
