Is Mintz In Bush Bashing, MoveOn Funded Ad Tied To Law Firm That Is Kerry Mega-Supporter?

Kerry's relative reticence on media reform might be related to the fact that his top financial supporters are media companies and the law firms that represent them. Two of Kerry’s top four career patrons are the law firms Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, who represent telecom and cable interests, and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, who represent Time Warner and News Corp.. Time Warner also ranks in the top four category of Kerry supporters.

John Kerry directly contributed to the lies of the anti war movement AND caused deaths and injuries
to US Military serving in Vietnam AND
directly caused deaths from injuries at home AND countless suicides because of his false testimony.

John Kerry is not fit to be elected dog catcher let alone President of the United States.
ANYONE who votes for Kerry AFTER knowing this data

KERRY GAVE TESTIMONY BASED UPON FALSE INFORMATION
THAT KERRY KNEW AHEAD OF TIME TO BE FALSE!

September 6, 2004 -- **BREAKING** In Yesterday's Lies: Steve Pitkin and the Winter Soldiers, Scott Swett tells the story of a former VVAW member and participant in the Winter Soldier Investigation who states that John Kerry and others pressured him to give false testimony about American atrocities in Vietnam. After more than 33 years, Pitkin is the first Winter Soldier "witness" to file a legal affadavit regarding that event...

My name is Steve Pitkin, age 20, from Baltimore. I served with the 9th Division from May of '69 until I was airvaced in July of '69. I'll testify about the beating of civilians and enemy personnel, destruction of villages, indiscriminate use of artillery, the general racism and the attitude of the American GI toward the Vietnamese. I will also talk about some of the problems of the GIs toward one another and the hassle with officers.

This is the story of this guy, in his and mine local rag the Comical Appeal:

Germantown man to rebut Bush
By Clay Bailey
Contact
September 9, 2004

A Germantown resident knew raising questions about President Bush's National Guard service would bring attention.

But if Robert Mintz had dreamed his stand would lead to the national media spotlight and starring in advertisements for a group disputing the president's military service record, he might have reconsidered.

"I might just have kept my mouth shut," Mintz said from his kitchen Wednesday afternoon.

Mintz, 63, a FedEx flight engineer, will appear in advertisements for Texans for Truth, an Austin, Texas-based grassroots organization "that seeks to increase political participation by helping ordinary people make their voices heard in politics," according to a press release about the ad campaign.

The advertisements with Mintz begin Monday. The group, which spent about $110,000 on the initial ad buy, did not purchase time from any Memphis stations. The spot is slated for airing on local and cable channels in five markets - Harrisburg, Pa., Columbus, Ohio; Detroit; Portland; and Phoenix.

Those markets were targeted because they have incurred a significant number of casualties in Iraq, according to Texans for Truth.

Texans for Truth is headed by Glenn Smith, a former Democratic political consultant. Smith's organization is an offshoot of MoveOn.org, which has sponsored other attack ads against Bush through its political action committee.

The new commercials have resurrected Mintz's notoriety regarding his service in the Alabama Air National Guard coinciding with the President's time in the Montgomery, Ala.-based unit.

Mintz, a lieutenant colonel in the Guard, doesn't remember seeing Bush. He recalls hearing a lieutenant with some influence was headed to the unit.

"We were looking for George," Mintz said, adding that he connected his own service time to the Bush claims during the 2000 election.

"I never saw George," Mintz added. "I'm sorry I didn't. I would like to have met the guy."

David Kustoff, the general chairman of the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign in Tennessee, said the President's service is a well-worn issue.

"Four years ago, (it) was discussed and dissected very thoroughly," Kustoff said Wednesday, without referring to ads that have been critical of Democratic candidate John Kerry's Vietnam service. "Nothing is new. If (Kerry supporters) continue to focus on events from 30 years ago, then it's going to make my job in Tennessee much easier."

The Texans for Truth ad campaign led to recent interviews with several national media outlets and television broadcasts.

"I feel it is my duty to present this to the American people and let them make a decision," said Mintz, who said he received no compensation for appearing in the ads.

Mintz, who lives in the Fox Creek subdivision, said he's a Democrat but has voted Republican, including for Ronald Reagan. He stopped short of saying he was supporting nominee John Kerry. "It's a personal matter," he said of his vote.

His role now is simply to tell his side of what went on in the Alabama Air National Guard.

"I can say that I was there, and all these times, I never saw George Bush," Mintz said.

"All I can say is I was there doing my duty."

Someone should send this POS Mintz a DVD copy of the new documentary "Stolen Honor."

Shame on Mintz for selling out the country and providing aid and comfort to a traitor. How much did he get paid??

I remember reading months ago that Mintz admitted he didn't know what Bush looked like back then! So how would he have been able to identify him?

Great. I remember him now. He and another guy said the same thing in a joint op-ed not long ago. The only thing was, hsis story didn't stand up to the light of day.

The guy implied that there were planes and pilot spots open, and that you'd just switch aircraft types and drive off as it it was a car without any transition training.

Does anyone remember seeing Mintz at the Air Guard Amory? What about at the Governors in Montgomery or several of the other places of refreshment in Montgomery? There is something wrong with this story. Was he a LTC in 1972 or 1973, at age 31? He has hooked up with an anti-war, anti-American organizations who, if they were veterans, would not put up with the total lies that this nut case is telling. In other words I do not believe anything this idiot says.

Rush told us of Bush complete record last week.

So Kerry wants to keep talking about Vietnam. So Kerry wanted to keep talking about President Bush’s National guard record.

Ok here it is. Bush joined the National Guard in May 1968

He immediately started basic training, pilot training and flight interceptor training. After that was over, he had spent 80 weeks of FULL TIME duty.

Not weekends only. There was a points system that you had to fly enough each year to qualify for serving your time. Bush did enough.

Dates Points

68-69 253

69-70 340

70-71 137

70-72 112

70-73 56

To stay current he needed to rack up 50 points per year. Each year he flew more than enough. Even the last year where he left a tad early. In 1972 the war was winding down and pilots were being downgraded to flying a desk. This was a perfect solution for the military. The President needed 300 points to fulfill his requirements, and he SHOWED up enough to rack up 898 points. That is 2/3rds more than he needed to.

Pretty good for someone who wasn't there.
