"I got snookered."There's quite a few e-bay, bank and other financial service customers that said the same thing. Keeps the FBI busy...

Yeah. You have 3 days to cancel any financial transaction. That is the law.
Something smells here...

You've been the victim of a crime, make sure you file a police report with your local police department. Also call your credit card company, ask to speak to a fraud specialist, and report the incident of fraud. Ensure that they issue you a new account number and immediately cancel the old one, lest this be some scam by hackers to farm credit card accounts.
Ensure that you forward the copy of the police report to the hosting company and demand that they remove the website immediately. You're welcome to find a lawyer and try to seek damages, but I doubt that it will get very far. If your local police department doesn't automatically forward reports to the FBI for computer crime, make sure you also file a crime report with them as well.

Surely this is a scam by outright scammers. (Yes, I know the Dems are scammers, too, but that's not what I'm talking about here.) Not even the DNC could be this stupid. On second thought, maybe it's smart. They get by with whatever they do.

Why doesn't my history for today show that I was on a DNC site? I've had that happen, if you went there from another link, it may not show up in your history, only the link or url that took you there will show up in your history.

Well, this is low, but not unexpected.

I immediately called my credit card company to have it removed. I was told I must wait until I receive the bill to dispute the "contribution". Actually you don't have to wait for the bill. You just have to wait until the charge is processed ... about 4 or 5 days after they submit it.
I just cancelled out one of my charges about a month ago. Very easy and no hassle.

The best explanation for what happened is that SDR has an adware trojanThen I must have the same thing.
When I put my mouse over the donate link the little box comes up and said swiftvets.com BUT my INFO BAR on my borwzer (FireFox) says.
