ICONOCLAST ^ | By Beth Goodtree

Posted on 09/08/2004 2:18:59 PM PDT by clintonbaiter

Enter Heshy Friedman. He is my opposite number. Being an orthodox Jew he is strictly observant. Mr. Friedman and many of the orthodox consider me secular even though I practice Reform Judaism. But Mr. Friedman and I have two things in common although our religious practices are quite different. We are both Democrats and we both support Bush.........

Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a salutary trend in America.

Wow, three new Bush voters. The democrats could run a vicious anti-semitic KKK member for national office and still get 90% of Jewish vote.

Come to think of it, the democrats have run a vicious anti-semitic KKK member for national office ("Sheets" Byrd) and still get 90% of Jewish vote.

THIS I like to hear.

I hope more Jewish voters rethink their votes.

I hope Ed Koch goes and visits other cities and speaks to other Jewish Americans and points out that it is in their very best interest to vote for Bush.

This article gives me a great deal of pleasure. That finally, many Jews are beginning to realize that evangelicals have their best interests at heart is gratifying.

Also this statement:

"So too did Hillary's all-to-public, physically warm embrace of master terrorist Yasser Arafat's wife. That Hillary, as a representative of the White House, could embrace the wife of the biggest genocidal monster outside of Hitler, was appalling."

Isn't it amazing that one thoughtless action on the part of Hillary can turn people off, years later, to her party. And that Hillary didn't seem to care what an animal Arafat was.

The Democratic Party has become the "Enemy Domestic"

Americans must vote for the survival of our nation

The good of the Nation must always transcend....blind loyalty to ANY PARTY...

imo

Absolutely, I keep hearing Zell Miller in my head this is not the Democratic party that he remembers and that statement is so, so true.... There was a time when the Democrats were not controlled by the anarchists but now unfortunately they are and I think as more and more moderates see through the liberal lies they will come around.

Posting the same crap as last week, I see.

The "rat party" could run a vicious anti-semitic KKK member for national office and the Jews will vote 90% for the democrats.

Proof? Two words: Robert Byrd.

Do you have any particular interest in making Jews feel unwelcome in the Republican Party?

Excellent question!

I admit to feeling quite uncomfortable as I read that. Thankfully, this is not representative of the Republican Party as a whole. It is disquieting, nevertheless.

Quite a few Jewish Democrats have come up to me and said that not only are they voting for Bush, but they are giving him money as well. I think Bush could get 30-40% of the Jewish vote this time. Israel and national security resonate very well with many Jews.

Personally speaking, I'm going to start a chapter of "Right-Wing Jewish Gun-Owning Country Music Fans for Bush". The first meeting will be this Sunday, in my den. Kinky Friedman is bringing the salsa.

My 90 year old grandfather who has voted, to the best of my estimation, straight Democrat tickets for 72 years, read Unfit for Command.

I don't know if he will vote Bush, but I am certain he will not vote Kerry.

I think it is. The Jewish vote stayed with Gore last time because of the selection of Joseph Lieberman as his running mate. John Edwards does not have any of Lieberman's appeal to Jewish-Americans. With the Clintons still actively seeking the spotlight and John Kerry not standing for anything, Bush has a historical opportunity.

If you make it the "Right-Wing Jewish Gun-Owning Classical Music Fans for Bush," I'll be there with a homemade cheesecake....

Don't worry about it - every party has its pooper, and all that.

In my own circle of friends and family (and I am Jewish - with a nick like "Maven" you sort of have to be, right?), about 90% of them are voting for Bush. Among my circle of Jewish co-workers and acquaintances, about half are voting for Bush, and perhaps more as it gets closer.
