If in fact this guy was a spokesman for SVFT then he hurt his cause. O'Neill and the other spokesman have been measured and factual in their appearances. Reaction like M. Russell's will just drive up the perception of "nutcases".
As for heckling, I guess it's just preference with me. Let each side say have their say.
I would say the union goon hurt his cause more.
Can you say Rodney King?
Michael Russell is not listed anywhere on the Swift Boat Vet site (http://swift1.he.net/~swiftvet/index.php?topic=AboutUs). The article in post #70 states that Mr. Russell is 48. He is too young to be a Swifty.
You'll be shocked to learn that Wade lied:
Heckler From Ky. Thrown To Floor After Interrupting Kerry's Speech (New Info)
excerpt:
Kerry campaign spokesman David Wade told reporters that the heckler was Mike Russell, who is listed as a spokesman for the anti-Kerry group Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. The group has accused Kerry of lying about military heroism for which he received medals.
But the Mike Russell with Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, when contacted Wednesday at his office in Alexandria, Va., said he was not at the speech in Cincinnati.
