In Bosnia, Iran was involved. I doubt that it is involved in Chechnya - Russian/Iranian relations in Caucasus/Caspian Sea are too good for that. I remember that Iranian mullahs were traveling in southern Russia to preach loyalty to Russian government among Muslims.
Ok so just for the record you dispute the author's source #12. That's ok, just wanted to clarify :-) I honestly wouldn't know one way or the other which groups Iran has and hasn't sponsored but I wouldn't ever put it past them to extend one hand for shaking and pass money to "brother Muslim jihadis" with the other.
