BELLMAWR, N.J. -- A 17-year-old boy died Monday from "huffing" an aerosol air freshener, authorities said.
Authorities did not release the name of the boy, and Camden County Prosecutor Vincent P. Sarubbi said there would probably not be charges filed.
Police were called to a wooded area near a school around 8:30 p.m. Monday and found the teen unconscious. The boy was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was pronounced dead by 9:20 p.m.
An autopsy was expected to be completed by Wednesday.
A second teen, who said he was inhaling the freshener, was treated on the scene.
Huffing is the intentional inhaling of common household products such as glue, paint, shoe polish or gasoline to get a high. Inhalants provide an instant rush for users but have harmful side effects -- nausea, seizures, heart palpitations and vomiting.

Warning: Air fresheners should never be confused with fresh air. Do NOT attempt to breathe deeply when using air freshener. Anyone wishing to breathe fresh air should go outdoors. Failure to notice the difference could result in fatal outcome.

They should put on his death certificate: Cause of Death: So bored that he decided to inhale air freshner.
Boredom has got to be up there as a leading cause of death for teenagers in New Jersey.
