Stevie B. talks about his new faith and his desire to shove James Carville's dentures down his throat. The younger Baldwin discusses his new ministry, "Livin It"
Alec says, "I AM God."
That explains a lot.
I have pinged a few people who might be interested in this article.
Wonderful article! Tremendous testimony!

I heard him on the Howard Stern show say he wants to be a preacher. This would seem to confirm that. Howard asked him point blank if he was for or against abortion. He said he wasn't sure.
Sorry, but a true preacher of the Word should KNOW the answer to that question, imo, and not be afraid to say it, even if you're on Howard Stern. I wish him all the best, but my feeling is that he's just doing this to promote his skater video.
LaBash is one of our treasures, with a sly and sometimes cynical eye. You're right, it is overly long, but I'm not sure what I would have cut out.
Great interview, thanks!
This was good.
If you want to hear good Christian music, "I Believe In Jesus" by Donna Summer is a wonderful ballad.
"Ship of Fools" by World Party (and the accompanying video) is a wall rattler reminiscent of old gospel. It's very good.
I also like "All You Zombies" by Mister Mister. I think it's more Old Testament-focused, IIRC
; )
Yes, it does.
Sure wish it was a rarity, though.
Am I still allowed to find him absolutely off-the-charts annoying?
Doubt it.
Many new Christians have to wrestle with decades of secular brainwashing. He probably hasn't gone there yet.
Give him some time. Sanctification is a process.
And and I don't see how you can read about him being excited about scripture, turning down Hollywood roles for his faith, in essence spitting in the eye of his very vocal and very liberal brother and think that he is just doing it to promote his skating video.
I think he's wholly genuine. Excellent read, thanks for the ping, LG.

good for him
I just picked up "The Best of Avalon" just to listen to "In Not Of" - what a great song.
Excerpt: "10 years ago, his wife Kennya, who is from Brazil, hired a Brazilian woman to work for them after the birth of their first daughter. While working around the house, the woman would constantly sing about Christ. "My wife said, 'Why are you singing about Jesus all the time?'" Baldwin says. "The woman burst out laughing. She said, 'I don't mean to be disrespectful, I'm just very happy that you asked this question. And I'm charmed by the fact that you'd think I'd come all this way just to clean your house.'" The woman told Baldwin's wife that before she'd accepted the job, she'd gone to her church in Brazil, and prayed with the congregation and pastor. On that day, someone from her church prophesied that whoever she went to work for would come to Christ, and would, in turn, have their own ministry. "True story," Baldwin says, shaking his head as if he can't believe it himself."
Neat article. Be aware, when Baldwin says "FU" he means "Faith to you," he explains a paragraph later.
Thanks for the ping -- great read.
He'll catch a lot of people who are missed by the regular evangelizers.
Maybe he'll even get to stand by Alec and the rest of his family one day, on the other side.
