Seems to me that one debate would be adequate. Kerry can debate himself in the other two......

I can almost guarantee you that there will be only two debates. This was decided LONG ago.

Two debates are plenty enough. How many does Kerry plan to lose?

I'd like to see the second debate end with Kerry being handcuffed and escorted from the stage by Federal Marshals for forging military citations. I know, I know. I can dream, can't I? :O)

Two too many. These "debates" are no debates at all, they're declariation/pronouncement fests nowadays. Who's kidding who?

Call FoxNews at 1-888-369-4762 and leave a message stating that you would like to see Mr. Hume moderate one debate. Also call the following entities and leave similar messages:

Commission on Presidential Debates: (202) 872-1020

Bush-Cheney '04: 703.647.2700

The Republican National Committee: 202.863.8500

This will only become an issue if we MAKE it into one; so, please do your part. If enough people call/write, it will at least advance the proposal.

Also, email the following entities and let them know that you would like Mr. Hume to moderate a debate:

Fox News (Brit's Show): Special@foxnews.com

The RNC: info@gop.com

Bush-Cheney '04: BushCheney04@GeorgeWBush.com

Please make sure your friends and family do the same. The least we can do is put the idea out there and on the table. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Coulter and Savage as mods? Heh heh. OK with me.

Michael Reagan and Laura Ingraham would also be great.

The President is running a war, for goodness sakes. Two debates is plenty, and he has precedent in both Clinton in 96 and Reagan in 84.

And before you suggest the President is cowardly, please tell me how many times YOU have run for national office!

Unlike Kerry, the President still attends to his day job.

Did you feel the same way about Clinton in '96? BTW, What is the point in debating someone whose positions change on a weekly basis?

Bush did great in the 2000 debates against the Alpha Male. Bush will wipe the floor with F'n.

The 2000 debates was where a significantly large number of voters decided that Gore was a phony and a lunatic.

I agree with you, the 2004 debates will be where a significantly large number of voters decide that Kerry is a phony and an insufferable boor.

bring your gun

I just got in .... did the MSM report the Kerry "shoot the president" joke? Were they incensed at such bitterness; were they concerned, at least, at the sloppiness of thought?

Pres. Bush should get it down to one debate (gotcha dual news conference....those things aren't debates) and one demonstration briefing on a topic of agreement.

I remember at the one Gore debate when they took questions from the audience that there seemed to be an inordinate number of teachers (NEA?) who had were involved. I agree with president Bush...it's too easy to fake being undecided.

What -- do undecideds have a separate section in the phone book?

What if Bush skips the debate and Kerry goes to the citizen forum debate? That would be very bad for us.

I am down with skipping the debate, if the commission will officially cancel it.

That snake Kerry would show up if it is not actually CANCELLED COMPLETELY.

I hope that is what Bush is demanding, not just that he will "skip" it.
