After seven years of effort kicked off by a former Marine from Virginia, the U.S. Postal Service will issue a stamp next year honoring icon of the Corps Chesty Puller
"I'm ecstatic," said retired Marine Maj. Jacques Loraine. "I didn't think it was really going to happen, with the long delays and putoffs."

Sometime next year, the Postal service will publish the "Distinguished Marines" block of stamps, featuring four Marine Corps heroes: Puller, Lt. Gen. John A. Lejeune, Sgt. Maj. Dan Daly and Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone.

Some folks do get things right!
Marines know their heroes.
They are taught from day one.
They have earned their rewards.
Marines don't call somebody like John Kerry a hero; they know who real heroes are.
