Any recomendations on what would make a good first buy once the ban dies?

I've been eyeing an AR-15 (Not banned) just something close to what I shoot in the military.

Comments and recomendations are welcome.

Get a Bushmaster, it is as close to Mil-Spec as you can get, 16" M4 style, 20" A2-A3, 24" Varmint...
