Kerry had a few good days/margin of error. The president leads probably by 4-5%. Even Gallup isn't always reliable: ><

Poll taken over the Labor Day holiday. Last time Rasmussen polled over a holiday weekend, Bush tanked and Kerry surged only to have it go back to the usual tie three days later.

I tend to trust Gallup's polls more than any others, despite their often liberal-leaning analysis. But truth is, none of these polls mean anything.

Just a few examples of why his polls dont jibe. My gold standard poll is Gallup, always has been always will be.

> Can someone explain this to me???

Yeah, the people who actually make this country run, who
are mostly GOP, are back at work today, not taking poll calls.

Sure, pollsters can adjust for that, but if they are,
what ELSE are they "adjusting"?

Only one poll counts, the one on 02 Nov.

What must have happened is another rogue day for Kerry yesterday. Not surprising considering it was a holiday. Most pollsters will not poll over a holliday weekend.

Rasmussen says Bush is ahead by 5 and illustrates the errors in his own polling data

Bush has lost the BIG MO. The media has been pushing Iraq again and US deaths. It's also showing up the the EC. Right now Kerry 265EV and Bush 264EV the rest toss-ups. Bush and Kerry are really tied.

Yes, as has already been pointed out, we can explain it by pointing out that, if we learned nothing else in 2,000, we learned not to rely on numbers from Rasmussen.

Yes, actually it is very simple - as an example when I was in the USMC and we were drilling at boot camp, the DI would observe that everyone was out of step but some F$k*ng Ass%*le (le anus, c'est moi).

Assmussen polls have lost their credibility with me after he completely blew 2000.

And what will you say tomorrow if the Rasmussen poll indicates Bush gaining a lead? Is that stagnation or negative momentum?

Are you ignoring Gallup? Bush cannot have a 7 point lead and be tied in the EC.

They did blow 2000 and they had Bush way ahead. I think they have changed their analysis and they might have put the Democrat Vote Fraud Machine into their analysis.

Hopefully Ramussen is wrong but I know they have a lot at stake for this election. If they blew 2000 and blow 2004 then nobody will listen to them anymore.

You're kidding right? Bush has lost the Big Mo? Who is it shaking up his campaign team? Who is it talking to the Slickmeister on how to get it in gear? (by the way Clinton gave Kerry awful advise and it is the domestic issues that Kerry has been for and against so many of the same issues and Clinton knows this). Bush is making great inroads in Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New Jersey...It is Kerry who has to hope something horrible happens to Bush in order to win this thing.
