My father is a walking case study regarding the evil of Antonio Gramsci.
Do you live in an urban coastal area? If so, that might be why your view is so dark. There are areas where people are more positive, more family oriented and more real.
Gen X bump. As a genX dad (two kids and one on the way), I concur with this article. My wife is a stay-home mommy by choice. I couldn't imagine putting my little critters in day care...
I was born in 57 and I was a latchkey kid too but there was no term for it. Mom and dad both worked. It seems to me the boomers are gettin a lot of negative press but the train was rolling downhill for some time before we came along.
We have been blamed for nam and all the actions that came out of it. My dad was in nam so I have always been a supporter but I can easily understand why many people, especially those that fought in it came home with a chip on their shoulder over the way gov.org had screwed them over.
Thanks! I appreciate that!! Not to worry -- I've never missed an election yet!!
Boy thats the truth. We are also paying the way for their children and in many cases late boomers kids because the parents will not take care of them. I see where there are lots of things wrong with the boomer gen. but that applies to all gens. We came along with the information age making every mistake a headline news. I think too many boomeers believed Dr. Spock (greatest gen) and the free love and drugs of the 60's did not help. I missed out on that and nam and have never felt like I was a boomer.
62?
Congrdulations!!! You are an Xer (1962 - 1981)
