I too was encouraged and tempted by my older Marxist/Commie '60's sister, to get involved with those 'hip' VVAW -- add to it the seductive hippie chicks and drug culture on an early '70's university campus, and this angry Vet was very tempted to join.
Only by the Grace of God, did I dodge a very seductive VVAW bullet.
Probably just as well.
It's difficult to imagine that you would now look back on the experience fondly...
