Bush Fires Back at Most recent Kerry Iraq Flip Flop
AP ^

Defending the war in Iraq as "right for America," President Bush on Monday blasted back at Democrat John Kerry's criticism that Iraq was the "wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Bush, in a Labor Day speech prepared for supporters in southeast Missouri, said Kerry is a politician who can't decide what he thinks and stick to it.

"After voting for the war, but against funding it, after saying he would have voted for the war even knowing everything we know today, my opponent woke up this morning with new campaign advisers and yet another new position," Bush said in prepared remarks released by his campaign.

"Suddenly he's against it again," Bush said. "No matter how many times Senator Kerry changes his mind, it was right for America and it's right for America now that Saddam Hussein is no longer in power."

How can Kerry not realize that he's consistently destroying his own credibility? I'm beginning to think he's just plain stupid.

Great! The campaign has it together. Blast Kerry everytime he flip flops. Pound the hell out of him. I also love the way they keep reminding people that it is better for America and the world that Saddam is locked up. Great!

Bush nails Kerry! LOL

Kerry's new advisors are making him even more confused.

Kerry reminds me of a Girlieman in a shoe store.

So many shoes, so many colors........just keep trying some on until one fits and strikes his/her fancy.

I don't understand (looking at the race from a non partisan view) what the hell he is doing.

the other good think about the president's campaign is that they do not wait to respond. So on the news tonight when Kerry is taking his most recent position, the president's sound bit will be on the news making him look like a fool.

Actually I was just thinking to myself earlier today if and how Bush would respon to Kerry's latest flip-flop. Glad to see that he has. In a time of war Americans understand that we need a decisive leader - Kerry is not that leader. Indecision and "nuance" will only encourage our enemies. Look at Russia, President Putin has admitted as much. We need to be decisive and determined in this war. Sadly Kerry can't even figure out whether we are in a war or not.

Why does Dubya even bother to try to use logic with Mr. Waffles. He should simply hold up a bottle of maple syrup and ask, "would you like some butter with that too?"

I guess Kerry thought the national election would be similar to his runs in Massachussetts where he was protected by the hometown newspaper and surround by a bunch of adoring liberals.

He had no idea that a large number of Americans had no clue who he is. Somehow he thinks that pandering to the left one moment, and then taking a contrary position when speaking to moderates, is a winning strategy. It's not.

Excellent response by W! I'm sure that the MSM and kerry will see this as an 'attack' and not sticking to 'the issues' as they see them, depending on which way the wind is blowing...
