The fatality came on the island of Zakynthos were Panagiotkis Kladis, a 22-year old Greek fan who was born in Chicago stabbed to death a 20-year-old Albanian who was celebrating his side's win, police said.
Two other Albanian fans were injured in the same incident.
There was clashes too in Athens, Salonika and Corfu an island which is home to many Albanian immigrant workers.
In Athens riot police used tear gas to break up some 200 Albanians who had gathered in the central square of Omonia to celebrate.

Sports brings people together. In Albania, revenge/honor killing is probably a national sport.
Hard to believe anybody cares about such a ridiculous, boring sport, much less cares enough to kill over it.
Soccer hooligan bump.
Bad headline. It wasn't a World Cup win. The World Cup doesn't take place for two years.
In Albania, revenge/honor killing is probably a national sport.Bad news for the Greek murderer and his family, no doubt.
Sheesh. It's just a friggin' game.
Depends on whether Tirana is the Greek's home turf.
Greek muderer? He was born in Chicago.
I think with soccer, the reason the fans fight is they do get bored --- the game itself is so bland and non-violent, the action is in the bleachers. You never see the same level of violence with American football --- occasionally some problems with drunken fans but nothing like with soccer.
