Any passage in the old testament can be taken out and used to claim our religion is a religion of war too.Don't make that mistake dude. There aren't any passages that order you in the present tense to make war on non-believers, to the best of my knowledge just retelling of the Lords commading of an obliteration of a specific group or area in the past. Also, your handle is followerofchrist, so our religion actually has no instances of Jesus telling the flock to kick ass and take names on his behalf. If anyone has to worry about the nuances of the old testament with regards to today it's the Judaism followers :-)

I am not a dude and have already posted twice those passages. You are right, OUR new covenant religion does not condone violence and another poster pointed out that the OT does not order followers to kill in the present. That was a point I had never considered, but I haven't read the Koran and haven't confirmed that they do order people to kill infidels in the present. I have also done a study of Pagan religions in that area, I have found many Koranic beleifs come from pagan beleifs. I think a good way to evangelize is to point those out to Muslims who are literate, so that they will know they are following a false religion.. One that constantly renews the virginity of the 70 sluts in paradise....Could you IMAGINE those hijackers, while people were living a horror, were probably aroused at the thought....sick.
The only way for me to really know is to read the Koran, and being here has convinced me that I must, especially given the numbers of followers. Christian evangelists should take note.
