If God did say this then he does not deserve to be worshiped either.

I have to assume there was artistic lecense taken by the scribes, otherwise I have to believe my God is cruel and unfair. I take the former, because I know He is a loving God.

He said it. Being totally just and being the one that gave them life I sure He was just in His judgment.

I have had to give political leaders that sent our troop to war the benefit of the doubt that they maybe knew more than I.

I guess I can give the Creator of all the same benefit.I think I know why he had to take such drastic actions but I don't know for sure so I won't say.

This I do know I He won't force you to worship Him or believe in Him like mohammad or allah.

That's your opinion, and you're welcome to it. I believe God said it, meant it, and deserves to be worshipped for having said it. I won't, however, force you to believe it. Read exactly why it was, that the Amalekites needed killin'. You might think so, too.
