THE full horror of the Russian school atrocity began to emerge yesterday as traumatised children told horrific tales of stabbed babies and brutal rapes.
It has also emerged that scores of the 323 who died - including many children - had been shot in the back.
While despairing soldiers and rescue workers moved among the growing pile of body bags, it was revealed that an 18-month-old baby had been repeatedly stabbed by a black-clad terrorist who had run out of ammunition.
Other survivors told how screaming teenage girls were dragged into rooms adjoining the gymnasium where they were being held and raped by their Chechen captors who chillingly made a video film of their appalling exploits
They said children were forced to drink their own urine and eat the petals off the flowers they had brought their teachers after nearly three days without food or water in the stifling hot gym.
Their stories came as Russian officials warned that the final death toll of the siege of Middle School No 1 at Beslan in North Ossetia - in which up to 1,200 people were held captive - was likely to be more than 400.
The official toll yesterday stood at 323 which included 156 children, 10 Russian soldiers and two emergency service workers - 35 of the hostage-takers were also killed. Last night 434 people were being treated in hospital with 247 children and 85 adults in a critical condition.
A Russian official said six seriously injured children had been taken to Moscow for treatment.
"One of them is a child, just 18 months old, with many knife wounds," he said.

I highly doubt that the kids were in any Bible study camps. Osetia is a Christian region, indeed, but Russian Christian community is not too religious (actually, as well as Muslim part of Russia, too). This tension has nothing to do with religion, it's a question of nation (and for Chechens all the other nations are a sort of untermensch in Nazi lexicon) which has roots in simple lust for power and money of their leaders...
I worry more about the "civilized" world that offers all kinds of insane "help", money, police etc. Wake up and name the enemy. Radical Islam, Wahhabi scum, just repeat it all day long. No better help than that.
That is the very scary part. To even say it out loud, I've found that people are indifferent or wondering why I haven't tried the tinfoil hat. And the enemy - Islamist Terrorists - is counting on their indifference and outright support. When that CBS reporter-chick (because she doesn't deserve a more fitting title) was on the scene at Beslan at night giving more of an editorial of how Russia had it coming (I'm still livid) than actually reporting on the terror, I could practically hear the clinking of terrorist glasses happy over their 'victory'.
The problem with the Chechen conflict now is that the Chechen side has been hijacked, if you will, by terrorists who want much more than a separate Chechnya. The playing field has changed now that they've 'resorted' (if you believe the lefties) to using Islamist terrorists to make their points, and if Russia is profiting from illegal activities, so do the Chechen 'rebels' stand to profit as well, if they aren't already. I'm a little suspicious of the EU wanting to direct the Russians to give the terrorities back to the Georgians or whomever, because, well, gee, they've never profited illegally from these things... (sarcasm, remember the Frenchies profiting directly from helping Saddam try to stay in power?)

You _realize_ of course, that the Muslims were turned back from the gates of Vienna at ~roughly the same time the Pilgrims were landing on Plymouth Rock. --not a medieval phenomenon --imagine how history would have been different with a Muslim Vienna (think carefully about arts, music, etc.)
They would love for us to believe, as I found out first hand, that any Muslim 'aggression' was many centuries ago shortly after the founding of Islam and only in response to aggressors who feared anything different than themselves and failed to understand them or want to peacefully co-exist. And so many children are being taught this in their schools. And parents who were taught differently, just don't care or presume the schools know best without even looking into it on their own.
Because these arabs ARE Islamic fanatics indeed, and those CHECHENS are not. And they use their less educated arab sponsors as a supply for arms, money and cannon meat. We have 10 milliom Muslims here in Russia living calmly with no religious tension; all this muslim/Christian topic is artificial for actual life in Russia-but it could become a reality if it's being described like this. But please understand me-NATIONAL intolerance seems a way worse to me, because you could discuss religion aspects, you could find a compromiss, and you could never have a deal with Nazi.
I also doubt that Wahhabism is a religion. If it is, Aum Shinrike (don't know how to spell it in English, but guess you've got my idea) is a religion, too.
It is painfully clear that you have never read the Koran and do not understand the bloodthirsty Mohammedan march through history.
You need to do some reading, my friend.
But let me ask you a question: Has there been a huge outcry from the "peaceful" Muslim community in Russia over this rape and massacre of innocent Russian children? Hmmm? I bet not. Your peaceful, moderate Muslims are quietly cheering their animal brothers on for the day when you can be crushed under the heel of Sharia law.
When they take the last Russian city, you will be given the choice of a prayer rug or a coffin... your brother will have his throat slit... your mother will be forced into a burkah... your little sister will have her clitoris cut off.
God luck petting those "peaceful" rabid dogs, my friend.
