He shouldn't have pointed out to a drunk guy with a gun where those guys were. He knows that now.

This is sad if true. Being an AP story who knows if it happened or not.

He should of known before he pointed the guys out! These brothers better hope the police find them first. Just like a coward to go get a gun, because he can't stand up for himself like man. The sad part of todays society.

The blonde man left in his car....
Yes, if the perp had been a black man no mention of skin or hair color would have been tolerated by the press. Sensitivity to the minorities must be observed, especially by the AP.

He said the men pulled the blond-haired driver from his car and beat him, pushing his head into the dirt. The fatal error.

With all the laws banning guns from school property, how could something like this happen?

What I first thought as well, based on the way the story was written. But...The guy probably had the gun out of view, and it's possible he added the S&W .38 comment after getting directions. More plausible?
And who trusts the AP to be accurate anyway? The poor guy that gave directions to the murderer is probably way distraught. Did the AP make him appear to be a total fool and also complicit in the murders?
