Arab leaders strongly condemn Russia carnage

Arab leaders Friday night strongly condemned the seizure of the Russian school by Arab and Chechen fighters, who were described as "criminals, not Muslims." Over 200 people killed during the rescue operation.

Heads of state from Egypt, Lebanon and Kuwait voiced sympathy to Russian officials and the families of people caught up in the hostage drama.

"Among the 20 terrorists killed, there are 10 citizens of the Arab world," Valery Andreyev, Russia's top regional security official, said on national television.

Meanwhile, Itar-Tass news agency quoted sources in the regional security service as saying that the mass hostage-taking at the school was led by a senior Chechen commander and possibly financed by Al Qaeda.

The sources said that according to early information, Chechen commander Magomet Yevloyev led the seizure of hundreds of children and adults in the school in the province of North Ossetia.

They said the operation had been planned by Shamil Basayev, Russia's most wanted Chechen rebel, who has been behind several major attacks outside Chechnya.

"Apart from that, there is information that the hostage seizure was financed by one of the ideologists of Wahhabism, Abu Omar As-Seyf, who is Al Qaeda's representative in Chechnya," one source said.

Translation -- Russia is extremely pissed off right now and we don't want to be a target for their wrath.

BS. Putin is a coward who's supplying the strongest supporter of Terrorism Iran with their 2nd Nuclear Reactor, don't expect that to change. Putin is no President Bush and Russia is all talk.

Except them to go back to business as usual after this horrible atrocity.

Further translation - The world might start fighting back over this. Whoops, we didn't mean it.

I wonder if al Sadr has talked about how wrong this is yet. Meanwhile preparing his 'militia' to kill more innocents.

Even if Putin wanted to carry on business as usual, politics would deny him that opportunity. It's simply not an option.

Freedom44, I don't think it's wise to criticize Putin too much. For the record, we refused to sympathize with Russia for a long long time, when Chechenian terrorists attacked them. We can't get over-vexed because Putin didn't jump on board our freedom train at the very beginning.

Remember also that Clinton allowed the terrorists to attack us at will overseas, without any real retribution. We ourselves have just awoken to terrorism's reality, so attacking Russia for just doing so would be rather hollow.

Don't forget, we damn Israel for striking back at terrorism frequently.

We have a bit to learn ourselves.

Comparison of Russia with Israel is absurd. Russia is supplying Islamist terrorist groups and countries with their strongest weapons. Israel is combatting those very groups and governments.

Israel gave Russia the most help with the Nord Ost hostage crisis. It was reported on Lenta.ru, which I stayed up and read all night for several nights in a row, that Israeli special forces had flown to Moscow and were working with the Russians. We always figured the brilliance of parts of the plan came from the Israelis. If they (Russia) had only been able to dose the gas perfectly.

I believe that if you'll re-read my comments a little more closely, you'll note that the context of my mentioning Israel was not to compare it to Russia, but rather to compare us to Russian imperfections regarding reactions and policies concerning terrorism.

We are not pristine, when it comes to confronting terrorism. I made no such claim regarding Israel.

I don't love Putin, but I'm sure that he isn't a coward.
You don't understand that Russia sometimes have different interests than USA. I supported war in Iraq, but let's say it straight that Saudi Arabia should be the first target. However US didn't and probably won't attack SA, because US buy oil from them and there is many American corporations.
The same reason is why Russia didn't support the war in Iraq.

I just hope that Russians won't kill all Chechen.

As far aas I am concerend, and as far as any thinking person can be concerned, all these Arab and Islamic protestations are nothing more than empty words - until Arab and Islamic governments PERMANENTLY end the spewing of vile hate and murderous invective by the majority of their nut bag mullahs, imams, shaikhs and assorted scum.

Until that happens, I'm sticking to my view that in their heart of hearts Arabs and Muslims everywhere delight in these murders.

If, as they say, these acts are contrary to Islam, then stop the Islamic preachers of hate who are the direct an immediate instigators. And stop them once and for all.

It is about time that the civilized world DEMANDS no less from them.

Sounds like they deny they were Muslims. What do the Arabs in the street think. What do the clerics say? Why do they let the mullahs preach hate?
