Report: Hamas leaders have left Damascus

Translation from Hebrew to English by me

Arab diplomatic sources in Amman claim that the leadership of Hamas in Damascus have left the city, because of the harshing of the Israeli words coming after the terror attack in Beer-Sheva. Among the terrorist leaders who live in Damascus is Haled Mashal, the head of the political office of the terrorist organization.

The newspaper "A-Sherek Al-Oset" reports that a group of Hamas officials have moved to living in Beirut, under the sponsorship of Hizbullah officials, and another group has moved to Qatar.

Syrian sources said in response that "there has not been any Hamas operations on the Syrian territory some months already."

It appears Syria is getting nervous.

Figured this would happen as soon as I heard those harshing words. Some people think telegraphing a punch is more of a deterrent than sneaking it in.

Shinning the light on these cockroaches and they behave like their exoskeleton species relatives; they scurry away to hide.

This changes little. We are still going to go in and clean house in Syria.

The other question is this: Will the United States EVER take a stand against Palestinian terror groups like the do against Al Queda? After all, Israel has been combatting terror since before John Kerry was a veteran.

I'm in favor of a Palestinian nation; but come on, the Palestinian terror groups (Hamas, Hezbollah and the PLO) have NEVER been honorable in their dealings. To trust them AGAIN to do the right thing is to invite more Israeli dead and wounded.

These terrorists are just vacationing in some other safe houses, leaving behind terrorist infrastructure and their operations.

I'm not. They blew it 1929-1948 and have only gotten worse. Scatter them to the winds.

Why is it that we hear endlessly about Israel's occupied territories, but no one ever seems to condemn Syria's occupation of Lebanon?

I always wonder why the US has an embassy (i.e. diplomatic relations) in the same capital which houses the offices of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hizbullah.

If they have moved to Qatar, that could/would have a serious negative influence on the tourist trade that country is trying to capture. They have very expensive hotels, etc, with lots of luxury. High rollers aren't going to be busy booking to go to a VERY small island country that is harboring Hamas. Not a good move, Qatar.

Another Israeli media source reports the political terrorist of Hamas, Khaled Mashal, is hiding at the Iranian embassy in Damascus, because he figures Israel will not bomb that target, considered Iranian land.
