The third anniversary of 9/11 is in exactly one week from today (Saturday). On the first anniversary, all the TV networks hosted some sort of 9/11 special in primetime. ABC focused on the war in Afghanistan. CBS ran a special 60 Minutes II, The Presidents Story, produced by Bill Owens. I havent been able to track down a copy of this show. CBS then premiered 9/11 which can be purchased at amazon.com. Every television channel had some kind of special so that the entire page for TV Guide primetime listing on 9/11/02 was highlighted. The remembrance of 9/11 on the first anniversary by these networks was helpful and commendable. Unfortunately, no primetime specials were aired on the day or on the eve of the second anniversary. This infuriated me. It was an outrage. The leading broadcasters in America had either forgotten or refused to memorialize 9/11 with the rest of the country. I know that PBS ran Why the Towers Fell a couple of days before the anniversary, and there were memorials aired during the day time news shows. But primetime was completely void of anything about 9/11. I was angry when I saw that C.S.I: Crime Scene Investigation had trumped 9/11. I personally e-mailed NBC, PBS, ABC, CBS, UPN, FOX, and WB and made my complaint. I did receive a few replies that said my message was being forwarded to programming authorities. This year there is nothing dedicated to remembering 9/11 on TV. The only movie made about 9/11 so far was made by an anti-American jerk. My effort here was to offer FReepers what I have spent time creating; something interesting and emotional. By the response I'm receiving, I guess I have an incredibly unique mind. Thank you for reinforcing the fact that I am different. Ill never reach out to share something important to me again.
Welcome to FR . Don't let the humor here get you down, you will get used to it and come to understand it, and maybe even laugh along. Expressing your feelings about 911 is obviously all you were trying to do, and yes, it is a serious subject. Just keep posting and you will find there are a lot of nice, understanding people around here, honest there are.
Thank you kind lady. I'm not so sensitive that I can't take constructive criticism. I sort of did this dry run before next Saturday to get the kinks out. I'll be changing the focus and wording of my post, thanks to everybody's help here.
Perhaps I misunderstood what you were offering to the community. If I offended you an any way, it was not my intent. Don't give up sharing with others what you think is important just because of this.
No prob. The replies from everybody is helping me reassess my focus. I'll be removing the repetitive references to myself and making sure that the reader's attention will be drawn to 9/11. Thanks, paaaal.
If you want to know what most FReepers think about when they remember 9-11 check out our Memorial Wall:

Look at the pages for BCM and BKO
BCM, Battalion Commander John Moran FDNY was in the North Tower
BKO, Barbara K. Olson was on the plane that hit the Pentagon.
Sort of puts your video games in perspective.
