Thank you...I'm enjoying it all over again.
Thanks. Worth watching again.
And the Dems only response is to ask, "do you really mean that John Kerry wants to defend the US with spitballs?" - and the classic Zell response, "It's a metaphor. Do you know what a metaphor is?"
Zell redeemed conservative Democrats, and gave them a reason to support Bush.
Kerry is milk toast.
That was the most incredible speech I have ever seen. No wonder the Media and the Democrats have blown a gasket.
I agree...I've kept the screen up so that I can imbibe in it again this evening. WONDERFUL and CORRECT.
I confess I have seen this replayed several times since Zell gave his speech & it still makes you want to cheer, cry & laugh, all at the same time.
Now that is one great American. And it took this elder statesman to put the fire under us and tell it like it is.
I wish I could meet this fine elder and take him by the hand and tell him how thankful this American is, for him and his courage.
Does anyone on this thread know if the Schwartzenegger (sp?) speech is located somewhere like this one?
Also, is there a way to save this to my hard drive?
In my opinion, Zell Miller gave the most powerful and convincing speech at the convention. He singlehandedly destroyed John Kerry with....Kerry's own voting record. And he had the facts to back it up.
Instructions on dowloading all speeches, and setting up a playlist so you can put it all on a CD to play in order (so you can make copies to hand out) are at:

There is also a link to the Zell's 'interview' on Hardball when here whips Matthews but good.
:) THANK YOU!!!
Following the excellent speech from Zell Miller, Andrea Mitchell was on with Chris "The Interruptor" Matthews. Anrea sniffed and dismissed Miller's comments about the Kerry voting record saying that Zell was "inaccurate". Can any Freeper guide me to Zell's notes where he shows the entire Kerry defense voting record? Can anyone find ANY weapons system or any afirmative vote FOR a defense project?

Slate has an interesting article, which notes that most of the weapons in the list were voted against in one bill (the GOP list also shows this if you look at the small type). The author (Fred Kaplan) goes to great lengths to show negative votes and opposition to some weapons by papa Bush and then Secretary of Defense Dick Cheny:

This site (biased to the left, imho, but does attempt to examine both sides at times), indicates Kerry opposed these weapons in 1984 as well, but does not address the fact that Kerry actually VOTED against these same weapons by voting against the 1990 and 1995 authorization bills. (So much for fair and balanced):

What would be nice is to see a list of all military votes by Kerry over his political career. With the most liberal voting record in the Senate, do his defenders really believe that on Defense, John Kerry was a hawk? Please, lol..;)

Zell said EVERYTHING we have all thought and knew to be Truth. He took those thoughts and placed them before the nation. It took incredible courage to do so, uncommon in politicians. Zell is an American hero.
"How do I save this speech to my hard drive? I've tried everything but it won't let me."
Look up at #10, the answer is there.
After the Kerry/UN/Soros press conf, I had to listen to Zell again.
Wonderful!
