WHEN THE KILLERS COME FOR THE KIDS
NYPOST ^ | September 4, 2004 | Ralph Peters

Posted on 09/04/2004 8:00:04 AM PDT by jolie560

THE mass murder of children revolts the human psyche. Herod sending his henchmen to massacre the infants of Bethlehem haunts the Gospels. Nothing in our time was crueler than what the Germans did to children during the Holocaust. Slaughtering the innocents violates a universal human taboo. Or a nearly universal one. Those Muslims who preach Jihad against the West decided years ago that killing Jewish or Christian children is not only acceptable, but pleasing to their god when done by "martyrs."

It isn't politically correct to say this, of course. We're supposed to pretend that Islam is a "religion of peace." All right, then: It's time for Muslims to stand up for the once-noble, nearly lost traditions of their faith and condemn what Arab and Chechen terrorists and blasphemers did in the Russian town of Beslan.

If Muslim religious leaders around the world will not publicly condemn the taking of children as hostages and their subsequent slaughter — if those "men of faith" will not issue a condemnation without reservations or caveats — then no one need pretend any longer that all religions are equally sound and moral.

In the future please provide a photo warning - my son was at ground zero on 9/11 and, as most freedom loving Americans, I don't need to see these photos to be reminded of the horror.

Thanks

Does anyone doubt that given the opportunity, this WILL happen in the USA? It is way past time to think about what to do. The answer is to follow President Bush and hopefully, President Putin in eliminating this threat. Put so much fear in these vermin that they will only dream about retribution while they cower in their holes!

The Bible encourages Christians to do lots of things that we don't do; Muslims are no better at following the letter of the Qu'ran than Christians are, what we are doing wrong, is attibuting the mindset of extremists to ALL Muslims.

I understand your feelings, but Diogenesis has done us all a great service over the years by posting these and other pictures, reminding us of the true nature of the situation.

Many Americans have simply brushed 9/11 under the rug and pretend it never happened. It's terrible to see those pictures, but it would be even worse to pretend that nothing much happened. I was a few blocks from ground zero when it happened, and it has been very traumatic for me, too--more than I realized at the time. But we cannot forget.

re: We must listen closer:

With respect, you're wrong. We should not have to listen "closer". The condemnations by Muslim leaders should be ringing forth so loudly and so vehemently that we couldn't ignore them even if we wanted to. Those leaders should be hounding the media and demanding a platform from which to denounce this barbarism. These Muslim leaders should be exhorting the faithful Muslims in their mosques to pour forth in public demonstrations and protest marches and midnight vigils and emergency relief fund-raising drives for the victims and their families. They should be loudly issuing fatwah's against the Islamofascist terrorists.

re:You see, the condemnations are out there, I Googled and found even more, and worded stronger. What we are failing to do is giving them sufficient air time to encourage even more condemnations.

Then we arm and organize those condemning the terrorists, and set them on one another.

There are condemnations out there, just as you said, but the key question is whether or not they are sincere, or just pro-forma public relations ploys designed to deflect some of the heat. No matter how "strongly-worded" they are, they're still only words, and words are cheap. Until we see some positive action by the Muslim community they will continue, by default, to inexorably bind themselves inextricably to the terrorist fanatics, and will eventually share their fate.

Muslim leaders in Russia have sharply condemned holding hundreds of children hostage by an armed group in the north of the country.

Sorry but this is BS. "Sharp condemnations" don't cut it anymore. The "grand" Muslims from Mecca on down should issue Fatwahs prohibiting any killing of non-muslims period. Also, instead of issuing condemnations, they should physically intervene. I am sure that "good" muslims know where the bad ones live...who they are..etc. Why don't they physically stop their "bad faithless muslim brothers" from committing mass murder???? Because they don't want to. The good muslims are as guilty as the bad ones.

I agree. However, a few armed employees will not stand much of a chance against suicide bent losers with automatic weapons and suicide belts. As demonstrated in Russia, they move fast and instantly kill whoever gets in their way. I would like to see my children's schools in lockdown every day with posted guards on arrival and departure time. Woe be to the nations of anyone who target US children. GW will need to step aside for the whirlwind of parents - the ME just thinks they have seen violence.

The mass murder of children goes on daily in the US. There have been 40 million babies killed since Roe vs. Wade. The Supremes made it possible. How come we don't see many RATs decrying abortion as murder, while it really is. Where's the outrage?

Correct -- my mistake. I'm happy to see that his CW novels are turning up in stores these days. I loved "Flames," but "Red Army is the classic of the genre. Trumps "Red Storm Rising" because Peters has actual CHARACTERS and does not focus solely on convoy actions. General Sir John Hackett's WWIII in Germany books are also excellent and far too maligned as dry, staff collegey tracts. Hackett could write -- and fight too, at least according to the Germans at Arnhem!

"Negotiations are the heroin of Westerners addicted to self-delusion." That would be better stated as:

"Negotiations are the useless heroin of such self-deluded leftists as Kerry and the Democrats."

My thoughts exactly. Deeds you filthy muslims....Deeds. They could stop it tomorrow if they wanted to. Simply by "good" muslims stopping the bad ones

Great list.

I contend that their terrorism goes back much further. They invaded Spain in what,..800? Didn't they push infidels off the cliffs or something to that effect?

And there's more hidden away in the history of western Europe. I think a complete list is what the world needs to see, because there are those who claim that these terrosist acts are only in retaliation for years of us occupying their country(ies), etc....blah , blah, blah.. More blame US cr@ppola.

In the big picture, the Muslim religion is one of hatred, violence, and control. Has been from the beginning. The beginning, that's where this list needs to start.

The same people who sent this message, use the same Quran as those who killed the children in the school.

...are the same who call a "cease fire" so they can regroup and attack again.

...are the same who call their mosques "holy", but then hide inside them, and shoot from within...becoming indignant when incoming fire damages, or destroys the building.

Don't intellectualize the problem, or view it emotionally either.

It was politically "astute" that the Russian Muslims should condemn the school hostage-taking. What if they did NOT condemn it? Even if they completely agree with those who took the school and killed the kids and adults? They KNOW what is coming, and are trying to minimize impact. That's all.

They aren't stupid. But their condemnation isn't worth much (IMHO), other than being a smart political move.

The time is past for condemnation. The only way Muslims can redeem themselves is with massive widespread slaughter of their terrorists. There have to be lynchings of these monsters in the streets of Islamic people around the world. 9/11 ended the time for mere words.
