Western governments offered sympathy to Putin. But the European Union said in a statement it wanted an explanation from Russia "how this tragedy could have happened."

This causes me to not sleep as well.

Have a look at how a successful ad slogan can take on a life of its own in the popular culture.

In the past, when islam became strong, they began to slaughter the "infidel".

Now, because of the appeasers, islam thinks it is strong.

Whenever Europe gets clocked by islamoterrorists I plan to demand an explanation of what they did to cause it. And, in their case, I will high five the terrorists. Damn those people!

Europe has been living in a fantasy world for the past 60 years or so. They have sailed along plying their silly socialist ideas, depending on the US to pick up the tab for protecting them from the USSR. It's easy to have universal health care, a ten hour work week, 26 weeks of vacation a year, etc. when someone else is paying for your defense. If they had been having to pick up the tab for their own defense they would not have had the luxury of creeping socialism. They have several generations of citizens who have not had to expend much of their national wealth to keep the savages from their door. They got a dose of reality recently when President Bush served notice on them the free ride was coming to an end.

it was so hot in the school. The temps were in the 90's... Those poor children were in a hellish environment surrounded by Muslim "monsters".

That's about the size of it.

Europe, including England, became enamored with socialism right after WWI. During the the hyper-inflation of the 20s, all Europe was treated to a dramatic demonstration of the difference between socialist economic solutions (which failed in Germany) and free market solutions (which succeeded in Austria under the guidance of Ludwig von Mises). They learned nothing from any of this and as soon as WWII ended, they went right back to their utopian fantasies.

Today, they leech off of us just as Karl Marx leeched off the wealthy and productive while writing Das Kapital. And all the while, they are oblivious to the absurd spectacle they present, strutting and preening with their noses in the air while the very Americans they look down upon continue to shield them from the predictable consequences of their folly.

They think like children, impossible to take seriously.

Thank you for the history information! I am pretty ignorant of world history prior to the early 50's. They really need to have to pull their own weight for bit, that might (as my Mom used to say) wipe that smirk off their face!

Your Mom is right. We've pampered and coddled the Europeans for far too long. They are like the spoiled brat you sometimes see in a department store, carrying on like a little tyrant while his indulgent mother caters to his every whim. He doesn't need the toy. He needs a good old-fashioned parking lot butt-whupping.
