I'm sitting here late, just reading and staring at these pictures. While I'm sitting, my 4 year old son and my 2 year old daughter are asleep in bed. My wife is asleep and I am sitting here with tears in my eyes.

In Russia a father is crying because he no longer has a son or a daughter. His wife may be dead. All because he innocently took them to school one sunny day. All because of evil men.

My son now goes to a public school for pre-school. In faith, I pray that I will never have to stand outside of a school waiting to know if my son will be alright.

I believe in God. I also believe in evil.

When will we wake up? When will this stop? I don't know. I keep hearing the words, "Islam is a religion of peace. Islam is a religion of peace."

Islam is showing itself. God protect us.

Unbelievable disaster. No words for this at all. Prayers sent to the souls of the victims, and to the survivors. So many innocent young lives ruined. And for what?

Why did it happen to children? Children who should be at home with their families or outside playing. Something is terribly wrong when innocence and the future is crushed. It may take much more of these sorts of events until the people begin to wake up. Which is very unfortunate.

This wasn't a hostage rescue attempt. According to a woman who survived the ordeal the terrorists used tape to secure the bombs to basketball backboards. One bomb slipped out, exploded, and then the children made a break for it. The terrorists then started shooting at the children.

The freaks in New York should be protesting real evil. Protest terrorists killing children on the first day of school or the situation in Africa where thousands and thousands are starving and being killed by warlords. Protest the UN that supports the regimes of killers.

It was the one of the glut of AP/AFP photos linked to on one of the half-dozen other threads about this. One of the photos was a wider shot that included her head being bandaged. She was banged up, but her eyes were open and she was looking at the camera.
