I've been on flights from Moscow to New York with orphans from Russia several times. Great kids. The orphanages in Russia are dismal, but from what I have heard, the people who run them try to do the best they can with what little they receive.

I wasn't surprised to see the man with the American flag on his t-shirt. I travel throughout Russia and the former Soviet Union. I feel more welcome there than I do in western Europe. They respect our strength and our unity (well, perhaps our unity is a little worn from the current Pres. campaign, but we are pretty unified when it comes looking out for each other).

Regarding Chechens: I've had the "opportunity" to meet several Chechens. I can say that out of all of the Chechens that I met, only one was a decent person. The rest that I have met, mainly in Moscow, are vile, harsh, unfeeling, and a few other adjectives that I cannot use on this forum. The only thing they respect is force. The fact that Arabs are with them is not surprising. If anything "good" can come out of this horror, I hope it will be that the world will finally realize that we are all fighting the same enemy.

Joan Of Arc treatment...burn them.

Burn them indeed. This is no time for justice. These monstrous, diabolic bastards must die.

Your pictures have me in tears. You see, I have a niece and a nephew who were adopted from Russia in 1995. I remember with joy the first day we met them and my sister at the airport.

This terrorist attack in Russia has really upset my family. My heart and my prayers go out to the families of all the dead or injured. I was praying for them since I heard this on Wednesday. May the lost ones rest in their heavenly Father's arms.

This wasn't a hostage rescue attempt. According to a woman who survived the ordeal (as reported in the Russian press) the terrorists used tape to secure the bombs to basketball backboards. One bomb slipped out, exploded, and then the children made a break for it. The terrorists (it's really hard for me to only use the word terrorists, but I'll keep it clean) then started shooting at the children. The members of Alpha and Vympel (FSB Special Forces) layed down a covering fire and the situation got worse. Once again, just like at Dubrovka (Nord-Ost theater tragedy) the only people you can blame are the terrorists and those who support them. The late Gen. Lebed suggested building a cement wall around Chechnya and then giving them their independence WITHOUT any aid from Russia.

The word under the flag clearly says "America".

Perhaps the dot pitch on my monitor is high enough to see it. Blessings to all the victims and their families.

I find the kids to be very refreshing! They are so appreciative of what is provided for them while they are here. They can be a pretty rowdy bunch, but they've had to fight for everything they have. The difference between when they arrive and when they leave is nothing short of a miracle!

C-SPAN had coverage of the aftermath from NTV and the BBC. They described how parents were searching for their children at various hospitals and then going to the makeshift morgue. The saddest thing was the image of a woman crying over the bodies of two of her children. She is the woman in the striped shirt in the last picture.

Dear God, watch over the relatives of these victims. Please keep President Bush in office and give him the strength keep our country at the forefront of this fight against animals that can do this.

These ones are not animals. Animals wouldn't do this. This great wickedness comes from Satan.

Drudge has the picture of a bloody cross in the hand of a relative. Muslims killing Christians. This is a return to the crusades. Spain, orthodox Greek and Russians in Bosnia and Russia - Iraqi Christians who have lived on their land for 2000 years. Wahhabi murderers calling themselves holy.

Keep a sharp eye. Before its over Michael Moore will be comparing the Beslan atrocity favorably to Columbine.

The terrorists may have overstepped this time. I pray the world finally "gets it" and work as one to take these monsters out.

Let's start calling these people what they are. Islamic fanatic terrorists. It is Islam that they stand and die for. Call them what they are, in addition to murderers.

This attack is a preview of what the Islamic terrorists have in mind for the USA.

Notice that the AP story uses the word "militants" instead of "terrorists."

My heart goes out to all of the families of the innocent victims that have been affected by this wanton atrocity.

This is the most disgusting example of the hate that these Islamic terrorists have for innocent children.

If anyone wants to donate money for the victims they an go to: www.moscowhelp.org They collected donations for the victims (and families) of the Moscow theater hostage crisis. They made sure all the money got to the right people. (I'm not affiliated with them)
