I think some of you are not quite getting the picture here. The simple fact is, terrorists killed innocent children in Russia, and we need to express our condolences. It's not about whether or not we like a country or a group; it's not about whether or not the country or group is good or bad; it's about human beings who had their lives stolen from them. I feel sorrow for the families of the lost, and believe the perpetrators need to and will be brought to justice. All the Russians need right now is our sincere condolences and support.

Yeah the Soviet Union WAS the Evil Empire. In case you were in a time warp, the Communist Evil Empire was defeated by Reagan. These are Children, children who many weren't even alive during the Evil Empire.
We forgave Germany quickly and fed their people, and helped them rebuild their country when we defeated Nazism. We were there within days helping the former nation of our adversary, who had just been shooting at our troops.
When war is over, you forgive. It goes to the root of this country, England forgave us for winning, and we forgave them for trying to heap monarchy on our humble colonies. Now England is one of our best friends.
The Russians stood with us on 9/11. The Russians even mourned with us as we honored the man who defeated them.
The war is over, we won, they've obviously forgiven us to mourn with us, can't we likewise?

The shocking pictures I've seen today made this big guy tear up. I have a three year old son myself and when I saw a picture of a man holding a limp severely injured little boy not much older than my own son, I nearly lost all composure. How could anybody, no matter what their cause is, do such a thing to helpless innocent children?
