maybe we could start a prayer vigil for, say, Sunday night? I remember the FRiday after 9/11, people across the country put white candles in front of their homes, and it was a very touching event. Not to forget, of course, Red Cross or other charity who can possibly help there, tho I can't imagine what would really help them, other than support to just get through

Go to your schools, your churches, your ?synagogues? your mosques and get every item of endearment you can muster. Teddy bears, heart shaped cards, anything. Put them in a big box and ask your local Red Cross if it can be sent to the families and surviving (tears are really going now) children of Beslan. Our Empathy is what they really nead. A warm hug from a eight thousand miles away is just as warm as from home. Believe me I know. I have been to Bosnia and know of atrocity. It is comfort they need. We can provide some.
