Sen. Kerry's Vietnam Medals Evaluation Report (A MUST READ)
The Bandit ^ | Sept. 3, 2004 | The Bandit

The Rescue

Sen. Kerry's Bronze Star recommendation makes no mention of Sen. Kerry being under enemy small arms fire. Here is how his Bronze Star recommendation describes the rescue: "LTJG KERRY from his exposed position on the bow of the boat, managed to pull RASSMAN aboard despite the painful wound in his right arm."

Jim Rassmann claims he was the one who recommended Sen. Kerry for a award, originally recommended Kerry for the Silver Star that later was reduced to a Bronze Star. However, Sen. Kerry's Bronze Star recommendation only lists one eyewitness for the rescue of Jim Rassmann: Kerry for President supporter, Del Sandusky.

This is the same Del Sandusky who told CNN NewsNight on May 31, 2004 that "John, shot and bleeding, laid down and pulled up Rassmann by his belt."

Another question to ask Lt. (jg) Kerry: The fragment that is in your ass, sir, next to the grains of rice, you know, the injury you sustained when you asked for the Purple Heart? What country of origin is the metal, sir? USA or China?

"corrupt officers"

Funny that you mentioned that! On 8-26-04 , The G Man posted an Army report listing a number of Purple Heart winners. Yep, First Lieutenant James A. Rassmann received a Purple Heart for action on 3-13-69. Just a coincidence?

It was something I read that was posted on FR not too long back,IIRC.Within the last couple of weeks,it seems like.

I'm "nearly" positive I read that Sandusky worked for the Sec. of the Navy sometime after VN and was Kerry's friend.

It hit me at the time that this was an easy way for Kerry to have gotten some strange things done with his paperwork.

It was so apparent to me that I thought other FReepers following the story weren't commenting about it because it was already a well known fact.

I don't think I commented on the thread,so that probably won't help narrow a search.

Was Sandusky known to Kerry even before they were in VN?

I seem to recall that from the same post but am not as sure about that as the other.Hope I didn't dream this up but I sure don't think so.

I think you mean Wade Sanders, a friend of Kerry, who later got a Clinton appointment as an Asst. Sec. of the Navy.

I'm thinking this is all a fluke and staged so Kerry could get his marks and go home to build his political career.

Didn't I read that Sandusky worked for the Sec. of the Navy at one time?

Wade Sanders commanded a swift boat and later became Asst Secratary of the Navy.

Tour Of Duty states that Wade Sanders was a contributor to Kerry's 1971 book, THE NEW SOLDIER. It would be interesting to know if Sanders was employed by the Navy Department during the 1980s when John Lehman supposedly signed Kerry's Silver Star citation.

I haven't been able to follow the convoluted story very well.

Is Sanders a friend of Kerry's?

Was he even before VN?

Interesting that he was Deputy Asst Sec of the Navy for (RESERVE AFFAIRS). Kerry served in the Navy Reserves. The dates don't fit though. It appears Sanders was Dep Sec Navy (RESERVE AFFAIRS), from 95-97 during the Clinton Admin.

Don't know. There is a whole lot here that will never be proven, either way. We need to stick to what we know we can nail Kerry with and not speculate too much. The MSM would love to refute just one claim against Kerry and claim that they have disporoven all of them.

I did probably mix up Sandusky with Sanders.

What I read really jumped out at me that it was an easy way for a Kerry friend to twist records and paperwork.

UPDATE: I am expecting public records for David Alston anyday now from Personnel Records in St. Louis. I have a very good idea when Alston was in March of 1969 and it wasn't on no swift boat. Just a matter of making the case air-tight. When Alston falls Kerry won't be far behind.

"In pics, it looks like it's about 5 feet at the bow."

To me it actually looks like 31/2 to 4 feet at the bow.If it was me reaching down and him reaching up I wouldn't have any problem pulling him out of the water.I think Kerry's a creep,But don't take what he did in that situation away from him.

. Did he do that under fire?,Who knows. The swift boat vets say no,and I tend to believe them.

Sen. Kerry's Bronze Star recommendation makes no mention of Sen. Kerry being under enemy small arms fire.

This is a lie and a Smear. This is all from rich Republicans from Texas, and these people have been discredited. John McCain has called this dishonest and dishonorable. Just go back to the Naval records, you'll see he won that bronze medal. We have a picture of it right here.

That says Vietnam War hero, so there!
