The AP has blatently lied to the American people in hopes of boosting John F. Kerry's poll numbers. The AP shamelessly used the fact that ex-President Bill Clinton suffered a heart attack as a lead-in to an attack story that accused George W. Bush of not caring about the fact that a former President fights to stave off his demise.
Audience boos as Bush offers best wishes for Clinton's recovery By Associated Press, 9/3/2004 13:57
WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) President Bush on Friday wished Bill Clinton ''best wishes for a swift and speedy recovery.''
''He's is in our thoughts and prayers,'' Bush said at a campaign rally.
Bush's audience of thousands in West Allis, Wis., booed. Bush did nothing to stop them.
Pravda would have written with less malice about Ronald Reagan during the early 1980's. This pathetically biased article lowers the AP to the level of MoveOn.Org.
The good news is that the transcript of the speech is available to correct the shameless propagandic exercise attempted by the AP.
Text of Bush's remarks in West Allis Posted: Sept. 3, 2004
En route here we just received news that President Clinton has been hospitalized in New York. He is in our thoughts and prayers. We send him our best wishes for a swift and speedy recovery. (Applause.)
I've always wondered who the AP was actually associated with. In this political season, it apparantly spends it's spare time hobknobbing with staffers from John F. Kerry For President.
