You are preaching to the choir... my first post made it very clear that I don't like this story either...Also, I think it could hurt Pres. Bush. However, I just think the story is slimy
I just don't see how being anti-gay has anything to do with being rescued By Kerry (or not)....It has nothing to do with Kerry.
I don't see how Rasmussen has slimed himself...maybe he honestly believe that Kerry saved his life. The anti-gay charge...isn't relevant.
LOL! I'm series, one could not make this stuff up. What great theater.
The seriousness of the allegations deserve a complete investigation.
Many older cops in California have been on fag patrol. Maybe not recently with political correctness, but certainly back in the day when laws against gay sex in public restrooms were enforced. The gays were targeted the same way prostitution was. Of course, that was back when they actually picked up illegals and sent them packing too!
It was not unusual for the police to take turns standing in public restrooms and waiting to be groped by a same-sex perp. It is because they were out there soliciting sex in public restrooms. So, while I think Rassman is very misguided by his leftist mentor, I don't think his police duty should be attacked. He was doing what he was hired to do. JMHO
I have to disagree with you.
I agree.
Rassman and Kerry's "band of brothers" have sure vanished, haven't they?
If those "beat reporters" work for the Washington Post, the story will never, ever see the light of day, and they'll be reassigned post haste.
"You know...I don't like this story. I don't want to see Rassman slimed. He did serve his country"
So did Timothy McVeigh, and there is nothing noble about that piece of crap. I too served my country, but it doesn't excuse any behavior I choose to exhibit. Besides, this has nothing to do with his military service.
I remember reading these accusations here at FR a couple of months back. It amazed me then that nobody had really pursued it. Of course, there may be some extortion from the Kerry camp in the mix somewhere, too. Like, "Listen, Jim. If you don't say anything about Lt. Kerry's high-tailing it away from combat by stepping on the gas so hard that you got flopped overboard, we'll take care of cleaning up your past a little bit. Make it all go away, so to speak. Deal?"
Funny how I really haven't seen Rassman around much lately.
Possibly, Kerry sent him away for awhile. Like, until after the election.
Before you report me, IT'S A JOKE.
(You don't listen to Rush Limbaugh very often do you?)
Will Rassman state who was the other SF person with him on that operation? His CO, at the time, went to college with me from May 70- May 72. His CO was one helluva a fine officer. The NCO's thought his CO was one outstanding officer.
Never would any SF go out one his own without another SF man as we needed another USSF to call in air support, plus take command if one was hit badly/KIA,etc. So, who in SF was with Rassman that day?
Yes, they apparently keep them very well contained. So much for freedom!
I love Rush! And I wouldn't report you even if you did mean it. ;)
