I wouldn't expect much to come of this, frankly. The feminist groups dutifully remained silent despite a steady stream of allegations of sexual harrassment and even rape from women who got within groping distance of Bill Clinton. They supported him because he was "their" serial groper/rapist. In much the same way the gay groups will stay silent on Rassman - after all, he's "their" homophobe.
No. My husband has his Ph.D. in ornamental horticulture (flowers) and I guarantee you, he is NOT gay. Quite one of the most masculine men I've ever met.
It has nothing to do about whether or not he is telling the truth about Kerry and the "no man left behind" story. I would consider such a story a smear against Rassman, and unsavory to say the least.
Rassman has changed the story many times and that works very much against his credibility. Don't think we need a Dem type smear to help the swiftvets. The means to an end do matter.
Personally, I don't care for this kind of smear that's going to come out.
It doesn't help anyone. It doesn't call into question Rassman's testimony in support of Kerry's version of events surrounding his Bronze Star. All it says is, after returning from Viet Nam and becoming a REPUBLICAN, Rassman became a virulently anti-gay policeman.
It adds credibility to those in the Kerry camp that say the Bush campaign is just out to smear.
W, and the 527s who support him, had best steer clear of this.

I'm not saying that this necessarily isn't true, but I do think we need to be really careful about posting this kind of hearsay without much better documentation. Kerry is behaving like such a loser that I really like our chances of beating him the way things are going.
