Actually, there are a lot of good teachers in the public schools. I've had to sit and observe a number of classes and I've been impressed (mostly). [Although I've seen awful ones too.] I wish your daughter the best. It's definitely hard work. I would just hate to be armed, though.

I don't think the public school teachers are the primary problem. It's more of a parent problem where my daughter teaches. It's difficult for a teacher to accomplish much without parental backing and involvement.

I find when I am armed, it forces me to be more aware of my surroundings and more measured in my actions. When I am around those who are armed, I am more polite and respectful. Couldn't our schools use more of this?
