Clinton to Undergo Heart Surgery in NY Hospital
Reuters ^ | 9/3/04

Posted on 09/03/2004 9:58:08 AM PDT by TexKat

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former President Bill Clinton has checked into a New York hospital and will undergo heart bypass surgery, U.S. networks reported on Friday.

ABC and CBS television reported that Clinton, 58, had checked into New York Presbyterian Hospital for quadruple heart bypass surgery.

A Democratic Party official told Reuters that Clinton had checked into the hospital with "chest pains." The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, could not confirm that Clinton would undergo bypass surgery.

CNN quoted a source close to the former president as saying the surgery could take place as early as Saturday.

Clinton, the 42nd U.S. president, promised at the Democratic convention in July to be a "foot soldier" in John Kerry's race against Republican President Bush.

Well, one cannot help but wish him a speedy recovery and health.

NOPE! Fox just reported that he admitted himself because of chest pain one day ago!

No, if this were a publicity stunt as you imply, the would have announced to the media yesterday.

I agree with you, both. Can you imagine the "martyred widow" card in the hands of She Who Must Not Be Named?

The Heavenly Father's "WILL" will be done.

Amazing that this was kept quiet, not even on Drudge.

will he find the best private hospital with the best doctors?

Isn't that "doctor shopping"? I thought that was illegal.

What would we all do without Bill Clinton to kick around?

A speedy recovery to the X-42!

Besides, he has to live in order to be indicted for all the cr@p he and Hill did while he was president.

Much as I dislike him. I don't wish him illness of this sort. I hope he recovers. But look at this thread and compare it to what the DUh's would be saying about President Bush. Therein lies the difference between conservatives and liberals.

Right, and after he recovers from surgery he can sue McDonald's...maybe he can hire John Edwards to handle the case.

Planned or not, this will eat into Kerry's face time.

I'll wish him well...as long as he doesn't blame his chest pains on Zell Miller.

I actually have great respect for the Clinton's for keeping this quiet yesterday during the GOP Convention.
