Kerry: "Bush Unfit to Lead this Country"
(Headline Ought to Be: Kerry Looses His Cool, Blows the Election With Angry Reply to Bush)
Springfield, Ohio -- Roaring back at his Republican rivals, Sen. John Kerry called President Bush "unfit to lead this country" for "misleading" America into war in Iraq, and said Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney had avoided fighting in the Vietnam War.
"For the past week, they have attacked my patriotism and even my fitness to serve as commander in chief," Kerry told thousands here at a midnight rally shortly after Bush accepted the Republican nomination for a second term and questioned Kerry's support for combat troops in Iraq. * * *
The Kerry campaign scheduled the event days ago in an effort to reclaim the initiative in the race without letting a single news cycle pass. Kerry spoke a mere half an hour after the president concluded his acceptance speech -- and Kerry aides issued his prepared text even before Bush took the podium.

Bush, for his part, depicted Kerry Thursday night as a tax-hiking, big- spending social liberal who had defended his vote against an appropriations bill for Iraq by saying the matter was complicated. "There is nothing complicated about supporting our troops in combat," Bush said.
Kerry, decrying what he called "the anger and the distortion" of the Republican convention, hit back in his toughest appraisal yet of the qualifications of the incumbents.

Kerry joins the left-wing black helicopter crowd.""
that's the left-wing UNMARKED black helicopter crowd.
And the Girly-Man vote!
If I were Kerry I would take my money out of Ohio now but I guess it is too late seeing he already bought 2 months worth of advertising.
After watching the RNC and listening (painfully) to sKerry's lame performances last night (early morning) and on Wednesday I really think (don't laugh) that California is now in play big time.
Roger Hedgecock (in for Rush) has been trying to hammer home the point that this figure includes all those who were without health insurance even for a single day last year. Without including things such as job-changing health insurance "losses" the figure is down around 20 million.
And the Halliburton thing, sigh. I guess Kerry's mad that we didn't give the contract to the only other company in the world capable of doing the job - a French one, which of course explains Kerry's irritation.
Black helicopter crowd is right. He'd better watch himself while he's flying in that thing - the sky is expected to fall any minute now.
Sounds like Michael Moore is weaselling his way into the Kerry campaign advising Kerry's plan of attack on Bush.
Winner!
It was taken in Vietnam. The image is photoshopped. Hanoi Johnny Boy wasn't ever in it, only Hanoi Jane. She's singing communist party songs.
I wish people would stop changing the starring characters in the DAMNING photos of the Communist Party of Amerika! Put a notice under them when you absolutely need to post them and tell who was originally in the photograph. AT LEAST you can put the original image in the same post.
You guys almost ruined it for us when the original photo of Hanoi Jane and John at the VVAW was found and published.
Sorry johnny boy, but the only one UNFIT FOR COMMAND is YOU!

These are the people who want to run this country and put you and yours at risk with unstable leaders of rogue nations filled with hate and terrorists.
kerry is fit alright. fit enough to be the president of the "snobby yankee boating and windsurfing society"
I stopped reading on these first two words.
Kerry couldn't roar if Ther-aye-za had him by the 'nard-hairs.
Sure looks like it to me. He has very long thin hands and fingers. So does sKerry.
21 years in the Senate with no significant bills passed is not exactly what I'd call service or accomplishment.
I judge people by what they do, not by how much time they've served.
Love Bush or hate him, he's managed to pass a lot of his program during his term, and he's done it exactly as he promised. The war on terrorism interrupted him before he could complete his domestic initiatives, but I don't see that as a reflection on him. Compare him to Clinton, whose only desire I could see was to pass a national healthcare plan, which he failed to do.
I'd call Bush a leader. You can't take that away from him, no matter how much experience you have.
D
Looks like your friend ran away... Pity, the Kitty's need the exercise.
LOL! Too bad, could've been fun!
LOL! Too bad, could've been fun!
I suspect that in big red letters, across the cover of the 100 secret pages of Kerry's Naval records, appears the words "UNFIT FOR COMMAND", as a result of numerous very bad fitness reports. It could be that the Swift Vets have these records already, and are just biding their time to pick just the right moment for their release. Their use of the title "UNFIT FOR COMMAND" is a message to Kerry, so that he will know that the jig is totally up. This might also explain why the expected "brown book" smear campaign against the SBVT hasn't really been pushed. Get the Strawberry preserves ready, as Kerry may well be toast.
Wow thaqt is novel phrase. i wonder where Kerry got the "unfit for" jargon???
No wonder this moron only authored 2 (I think neither passed--thank goodness) bills in 19 years of Senate "service". "Back Bencher"--heck he has been so unproductive as a Senator he is out of stadium, sitting in SF Bay waiting for a Bonds home run and without a paddle.
Yes, he sure did- but the military cuts highlighted were tried by Kerry BEFORE the fall of the Soviet Union.
AFTER the fall of the Soviet Union, he was too busy shredding documents about POW/MIA still in Vietnam, destroying the Viet Nam Human Rights Act in the committee HE chaired and landing his cousin a cushy job as Hanoi's sole international real estate broker.
When he found the extra time, he hiked taxes and put his name on every bit of anti-Second Amendment legislation, refused to show up for Intelligence Committee hearings and gutted our intelligence capability.
"If you are president and NO ONE (save the defense secretary) has ANY military experience and your job is to decide when and how others will be asked to kill and die, I think Kerry is much more 'fit' than someone with a combined 9 years in politics."
Nice try, Talking Point M/F/NA (as the case may be) but the people making the decisions DO have military experience. If you're suggesting Kerry try to micromanage the War on Terrorism, you're demanding human tragedy on a inconveivably large scale. Kerry's ruining his campaign by micromanaging it...but at least a POLITICAL CAMPAIGN won't cause people to die. A military campaign is a different story.
"And it should be illegal to allow any Bush supporter to use the word "stupid" in regards to the opposing presidential candidate"
Implying it should remain legal for anyone who calls President Bush a moron.
Put down the DNC talking points and read the Constitution.
