How arrogant. Good for YOU if you want to shed tears for Clinton and his family. To suggest, though, that those of us who DON'T somehow deserve to have no one "wish [us] well" when WE'RE sick, or to suggest that we're morally deficient is over the line.

Well, apparently in your haste to flee before I pursued you, you forgot to note that said I wouldn't shed tears.

However, if you can't even muster up the ability to feel sad that someone lost a husband and father - on a human level, not a political level - then yes, I consider you morally deficient.

That's not arrogance, that's fact. Deal with it.

All during Zell's speech, I could feel
the dems cursing, ranting, raving and
throwing hissy fits! LOL

This is a forum for expression. Most you shouldn't take so seriously- it's called free speech.

I agree. Then no one should mind me expressing my opinion either. Praying that he will make it through sugery and live to aggravate us all another day.

Well, if you had read the whole thread, you would see that no one is wishing for Clinton to die.

I don't have the time to wade through 900+ posts to find out. And what I said needed to be said regardless of whether the shoe fit in this particular situation or not.

The experience of Jerry Corsi should be instructive to all Freepers, but some continue to treat FR like it's still a big secret to the rest of the world. It ain't. The MSM ignores it unless they can smear it, which is what they did with the Swift Vets (and using FR to accomplish that).

We have some responsibility not to act like the asshats on DU who wish George W. Bush dead. I'm not saying that we should forget that Clinton was a bad President. I am saying that we shouldn't forget that he was President. In other words, he could be a boob and a sonofabitch from time to time. But he wasn't Hitler. Let's try to remember that. And deserving of our prayers.

Amen, bro.

Was he being "pleasured" by an intern when it happened?

Agreed.

If one is to call himself a Christian, Matthew 5: 43-47 is the guideline here.

You know, there are thirteen obits in my local paper today. I don't know a single one of the deceased nor the family mentioned. Do I feel sad? No, I can honestly say I don't.

Put me down as morally deficient also.

I opposed the man with every fibre of my being in two elections, and I think he'll have much to answer for at the Throne of Judgment someday, but I don't hate him and I hope he pulls through this. My father had three bypasses done several years ago and seeing him in the unit afterward and in what he had to go through in the initial post-surgery days scared the pee out of me (to the point where I got myself checked and found a cholesterol problem that I've been dealing with), and bottom line I wouldn't wish this on anyone, not even an enemy like Slick.

I will say this, seeing Hillary a little while ago discussing this ... that woman doesn't just have ice water in her veins, it has to be liquid oxygen.

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'

But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,

that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.

For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have? Do not the tax collectors do the same?

And if you greet your brothers only, what is unusual about that? Do not the pagans do the same?

So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.

my husband had a quadruple bypass a few years ago and was younger than prez clinton.
it's part diet and a big part hereditary.

best of luck to bill clinton, if he's like my DH he will recover quickly and be good as new with an awareness of the delicacy of life.

I agree with you. The Kerry people didn't know. Otherwise Kerry would have been on his way to New York for a photo op in front of the hospital.

Whether Clinton kept it quiet out of decency or to sabotage Kerry, I am very grateful that he did.

" The Russian children are still at the top of my prayer list."

They're at the top of mine too, along with their parents and the rest of their families.

But if you read one of those obits, and it said something like "Bob is survived by a wife and daughter..." would you not feel even a little twinge of sadness? I would, though it wouldn't ruin my day. It would be fleeting, then "POOF!"... Gone.

As another poster said, Matthew 5, 43-47 or so pretty much covers it. We DO know Bill Clinton, and he IS our enemy, and he HAS persecuted us...

So, praying for him, and his health, is what we should do, if God's word is to be believed...
