I don't think any negative comments are appropriate at this time.

I agree. Attention Fox News: I was offended at one of your Democratic guests who stated, "Talking about hearts, some people doubt that the Republican Party even has one." (Words to that effect. And the man had been brought on to discuss Bill Clinton's condition.)

I agree with most on this board, Clinton, for all his faults, is still an ex president. I amy like what he did and stood for, but I wish him many future years.

Hmmm. Poor response from angioplasty, lesions, the possibility of a play-doh heart (from cocaine use)....perhaps it's not as rosy a picture as I first thought.

On the other hand, Chris Wallace said the surgery might not go today, and someone on DU said NY1 (the tv channel) said it would only be a triple bypass.

Quite a story (and btw something of a hindrance to Kerry, who desperately needs press time to try to change the momentum).

Cut with any of the jokes, people. We're Republicans. We don't wish our opponents dead, especially one who beat us soundly-twice. Whatever you think of him, remember that he was a President, and he is deserving of our prayers.

NO humor on this thread, PLEASE!

Be Seeing You,

Chris

I do truly hope that Clinton pulls through and has a speedy recovery.

What's everyone thoughts on how this will effect the election? Will focus on Clinton take away focus from the soaring Bush? Or will CLinton not being able to campaign for Kerry be a bigger effect?

My liberal co-worker mocked shooting herself in the head when I told her. She's now planning on a Bush win.

Time for the nurses to don their armor plated bras and girdles!

Don't they usually tell patients after heart attacks or heart surgery to avoid sex with strangers?

It's going to be a long recovery for Bill.

Life can take many turns...but I think the Republican convention might have been holding on to the sterring wheel on this one.

"Not odd......when ny dad had this done....he was only supposed to have a stent ....but it turned very serious when they looked at his veins.."

It is when you realize how EXTREMELY thorough the physicals normally given to a sitting president are.

Maybe next year's top story will be that Clinton hired an out of work ambulance chaser named John Edwards to sue over his substandard medical care while in office.

Hillary probably causes Bill so much stress, that he has requested that she stay as far away as possible.

We have to keep Willie Bill around...who else will be the target of all that vehement hatred?

The guy is a loser as president, but I hope for his sake and his family's, he pulls through.

I have to go shower. I feel dirty.

Apparently he isn't taking it too well that HIS party is collapsing into disarray.
