Considering that the Clinton's favored Canada's health system I'm surprised he didn't go there for his angioplasty and potential surgery.

Fox is reporting that he already had an angioplasty, and that the Kerry campaign knew about it. Could it be that Clinton has enough class to keep this info private until after the GOP convention?

Perhaps it wasthat they didn't want the visual of MSG filled with GOP conservatives publically praying for the safe recovery of the former president. That would have been too stark a contrast compared with the leftist protesters outside.

Just my opinion but people ought to be glad that they didn't take advantage of the situation and over shadow the RNC.

Agree with you there. I will give Clinton and Co. credit for keeping a lid on it until after the convention ended. (But that's the only thing I'll give them "credit" for.)

Actually no. If you have a bad combo of genes and (eating) lifestyle it's easy to be looking at a bypass in your 40s.

The last survey I saw gave an average age of 61 for bypass patients. Of course you know how studies can be but I've known a LOT of guys who had heart attacks in their late 40's, early 50's.

You're quite right about negative comments. Those about Reagan were way out of line, I'm not going that direction. I'll pray not only for a full recovery but also that the experience might open him to allowing God to improve his spirit.

I've seen serious stuff like this make people think and it's often permanent (though not always), it might be an opportunity for him to start reading that book he liked to carry around on Sunday.

We can pray that's the case.

I'm a Christian also Andrew. But the impending doom I felt along with the elephant on the chest syndrome was standard fare. It was simply my body telling my mind that soemthing was seriously wrong and time to wake up the wife and head to the hospital.

They didn't bypass me. Angioplasty, no biggie. One bad lesion in my proximal circ, bad stuff, but the Doc told me that my regimine of aspirin probably saved my life that time.

A motnh later the artery occluded and Mr Impending Doom was back. This time 911 and a ride in the ambulance.

Rotoblation. They stuck the ole rotor rooter blade in there and began chopping up the lesion. Wll, the bits and pieces have to go somewhere so they end up in the micro vasculature and I end up doing bridges on the cath table. I thought I was gonna die at that point and like you I wasn't afraid of dying at all. My Mom, Dad and little brother have gone before me and I found myself communing with them.

When all was said and done the Doc tells me that I have an unusually high threshhold for pain and I have to be careful because I still, to this day 8 years later, exercise vigorously and I'm a competetive guy. I told him from my vantage point my threshold was exceptionally low because it hurt like hell. We laughed, haven't seen him in years now. Hope to keep it that way.

She does not want to be near the scene of the crime. Actually this is NYS Fair week in Syracuse and Terry Mcawful is a native Syracusan,and always pushes her to show up there. I wish him the best even though I cannot stand him. He is an American former President. My niece's fiance' dropped dead of a massive heart attack while doing security job at Port Charlotte after Hurricane Charley and was only 53 years old. Smoking was probably the catalyst. He(Clinton) may ask John Edwards to sue Mickey D's. I know a dozen people that have had by-pass or rotor rooter done and are in good shape now. He will have to slow down on his slutty behavior or he will die in the sack like Rockafeller.

I don't wish to wish ill will on any person no matter how much of a lowlife they are, so I pray Clinton makes it through surgery ok.

HOwever, I find this humorous in the fact that once again Clinton is stealing the stage from Kerry right when Kerry needs to stop Bushes momentum. Bills heart attack is the worst thing for the Kerry campaign at the moment.

ITOH it takes Clinton off the campaign trail, and that deprives the Pubbies of Bubba's magic touch of destroying candidates he campaigns for.
