Bill Clinton rushed to Columbia Hostpital in NY for quadruple bypass surgery.
My thoughts exactly as I finish my onion rings.
Seriously, I wish him a full recovery, and hope he lives a long life. He needs to personally witness the fruits of his real legacy.
I thought it was resperitory problems. After all you don't get much air when you have your head up your ass all the time.
I used to work on the cardiology floor, had a cardiologist tell me that trying to do bypass surgery on a coke addict was like trying to sew through playdough.
Thank you for the reality check.
thank you for that post, you saved me
Evidently, the Sinkmaster was taking a leisurely walk in Fort Marcy Park when the attack occurred.
Alas, no. I have a suspicion it shot his average all to hell. But he was buried with his bowling ball, so he should get plenty of opportunity in that big, ten billion lane alley in the sky.
What do people mean "timing is suspicious". That Pres. clinton somehow , to attract attention away from Republican Convention, is staging a quadruple bypass surgury? --- Not exactly a small operation, quadruple bypass... are they actually performing the procedure or is Clinton just sittin in the O.R. with the doctors smoking a cigar with a bunch of hoochie mamas? --- what are you guys thinking?
I'm with you. Here's hoping for a speedy and healthy recovery!
On a less serious note, my sister called me to ask me if this was a stunt to get Kerry votes. I said, "of course not, if it was a stunt it would be to suck up all of Kerry's oxygen!"
;-)
Wow. Is he doing okay? All of ours who've had them done have come through very well.
the beast is clearing the way
Judging by the over 200 responses...it seems that vitriol is a non-partisan product.
I swear the Clintons will stop at nothing to keep their names in the media spotlight...
seriously, I hope he makes it past the election ...after that he can have all the media circus the funeral will entail.
Prayers for President Clinton's safe recovery. He should be in good hands at Columbia Presbyterian. It's a great hospital for heart patients.
Well, granted that my dad did not have the annual physicals that the CIC goes through, but when he had his heart attack and quad bypass 5 years ago, there had been absolutely no hint of it beforehand, and he had gotten a clean bill of health at his earlier dr. checkup. Now, he was 74 years old, but was still working 5 days a week as a baker, did his own yard work, golfing, etc. In fact, he was mowing the lawn the morning before it happened. He had just been having symptoms of a cold, small cough, and some trouble taking deep breaths. In fact, when he realized that something more was wrong, that he couldn't catch his breath, we called 911, and they didn't even think it was a heart attack, but transported him anyway. By the time he got to the hospital, he was in complete congestive heart failure, they had to intubate him immediately, and we almost lost him. (He's fine now, by the way) The doctors found that 4 of his 5 arteries were almost completely blocked, the only thing that kept him alive in that condition was that he was in great shape.
So, yes, completely blocked artieries can be asympomatic.
